As the students enter, the Danger Shop appears to be a mostly empty room with a half circle of chairs in the middle.

The focal point of the half circle is a large white board which has a list of names on one half. The other half is covered at the moment.

Once everyone has arrived, Veronica begins briefing them.

"I don't know what you guys did to earn detention today and frankly, I don't care. Today we're going to solve a mystery and you're going to put someone else's well being before for your own."

She uncovers the other half of the board, which has a list of information about a missing girl, including a physical description.

"The girls' parents believe she has run off with her boyfriend and don't want to involve the authorities. It's your job to find her."

Nadia wasn't entirely certain how to go about questioning a suspect, but decided to give it a shot, anyway. First, the approach:

"Excuse me," she asked, adopting an American accent. "I'm, like, pretty lost, here. Do you know how I can find the Screeching Eel?"

"I've never heard of the Screeching Eel," Duncan said, scratching his head.

"Really? Like, damn! I'm, like, supposed to meet, like, you know, some friends of my sister's there to, like, plan her, like, bachlorette party? One of them, like, you know, goes to school around here? Maybe you, like, know her? Her, like, name is, like" Nadia rambled off the name she'd seen on the cover of the diary she'd found, then babbled on for a bit about how the girl and a bunch of other people who's names she'd found were supposed to be the best bachlorette planners around. The narrative was peppered with "like" and "you know". "But she, like, hasn't been, like, you know, answering her, like, cellphone? Do you, maybe, like, know where I could, like, find her at least?"

Duncan told her the gossip he knew about Madison and her older lover, suggesting that she might be with him and that's why she wasn't answering her phone.

"Like, that skank! I, like, totally need to, like, find her and like, you know, bitch her out? Like, thanks? You're, like, you know, the best?"

"Thanks," Duncan said, giving her a 'hey, baby' smile. "You know, if you can't find her, maybe we could, you know, have dinner or something."

That smile was one of the more horrible things Nadia had seen, lately.

"Like, I would, like, love to? But I'm, like, you know, a lesbian? And my, like, girlfriend gets, like, you know, really jealous when I, like, spend time with, like, you know, guy friends?"

Duncan shrugged. "Oh well," he said with a dejected expression. "Good luck finding Madison."

"Like, thanks? You're, like, a sweetie, for, you know, like, a boy?" Nadia smiled sweetly, then blinked. "But, like, you know, how am I, like, going to, you know, find her? I don't, like, you know, know who her, like, older boyfriend is?"

Duncan gave all her the details, including directions to the house.

"Gosh, like, thanks! You're so, like, helpful!" Nadia jotted down the directions and headed off with a cheery wave.
