Danger Shop - Detention [6/24]

As the students enter, the Danger Shop appears to be a mostly empty room with a half circle of chairs in the middle.

The focal point of the half circle is a large white board which has a list of names on one half. The other half is covered at the moment.

Belthazor
Marie D'Ancanto
Timothy Desmond
Walter Dornez
Tyler Durden
Kaylee Fry
Phoebe Halliwell
Charles Kawalsky
Jamie Madrox
Setsuna Sakurazaki
Nadia Santos
Stark

Once everyone has arrived, Veronica begins briefing them.

"I don't know what you guys did to earn detention today and frankly, I don't care. Today we're going to solve a mystery and you're going to put someone else's well being before for your own."

She uncovers the other half of the board, which has a list of information about a missing girl, including a physical description.

"The girls' parents believe she has run off with her boyfriend and don't want to involve the authorities. It's your job to find her."

At this point in the game, Sakurazaki's protective instincts have kicked in and there's no more bitterness that the girl deserves whatever happens to her. Her first impression had obviously been false; this man was taking advantage of an innocent young girl! Rescueing was a type of mission she could do well. She doesn't need much time to plan; she only really needs to whip out another sheet of paper, do some more runes and murmering. She places it above the doors of the living room. Should she get caught, she and the girl can escape here, and the papers will create a magical barrier that the target enemy cannot pass through. And then she'd go and kick the guy's ass. It was a pretty good plan, she felt.

Nadia wasn't exactly an expert on large domestic buildings, but it wasn't hard to figure out that if one were hiding a kidnapped girl, it would probably be in one of the more private rooms. She kept low as she crept through the living room, looking for stairs or anything that might indicate a bed room.

Kaylee peered around the room. Obviously, the girl wouldn't be out in clear view. She must be in another room.

Bel searched around the house, ready to shimmer out in an instant if he hears anyone coming.

Walter looked around, got an idea of where the exits were, and headed toward the living quarters, or what looked like a logical direction for them. The kitchen would be his last priority. If he spotted anyone, he counted on a combination of butler-ly circumspection and being insanely fast to leave the person questioning whether he'd seen anything or not.

Tyler did a perimeter sweep of the living room and discovered the girl wasn't in there. He decided to look deeper in the house.

Stark took a moment to orient himself. Then he decided that the main room of a house was probably not where anyone was going to be hiding. Closets maybe. Or a basement. Or some other room. So he wandered off in search of better hiding places.

Phoebe looked around and taking a deep breath she wants to explore the house and find the missing girl.

Kawalsky did a quick check of the area and located the suspect in the den. He decided to check out the rest of the house away from the suspect, including anything out back, but he came up empty-handed and decided that he'd have to try to get past the suspect.

The Jamies are still in their Village people outfits.

The confer briefly and come to an agreement that a distraction is in high order.

Tim silently slid a golf club from the bag by the door, just in case. Nothing in the living room but he didn't expect there would be. Probably would be hiding the girl in the bedroom, or the basement. He'd try the basement first, least chance of some meddling kid neighbor seeing something.
