Tyler took a toona feesh sandwich and some pistachio pudding and nibbled at them thoughtfully.

Pippi flounced in, taking a two Sundveeches and some Pooddeeng.

"Hi Tyler! Is this seat taken?"

Tyler glanced up. "Hey, Pippi. Nah, go ahead. I was kind of waiting for River, have you seen her?"

"Hmmm, no. Now that you mention it. I've not seen her. She wasn't at cheerleading practice either yesterday."

That was not good news. "I was with her yesterday afternoon, and something happened, and I think it scared her. I just hope she's okay."

He frowned.

"Well, the practice was in the afternoon... Mebbe she was playing hooky with you?"

"Maybe," Tyler said, frowned again, and shrugged it off.

He took another bite of sandwich. "How's life for Pippi?"

Pippi mulled that over for a moment.

"Pippi is concerned about certain of her friends, but it's not up to her so other then that life is good for Pippi." she took a bite of her own lunch. "And how about life for Tyler?"

"Sometimes you just need to let people work stuff out for themselves,but good luck," Tyler said sympathetically.

"Other than the wanting to see River thing? Life isn't too bad. It's weird, I'm having much better conversations now that everybody knows all about me."

"I don't know all about you..." she said. "For instance. What's your favorite color?"

Tyler thought about it, then smirked.

"Blue. Cornflower blue. What about yours?"

At this point River appeared and interrupted their conversation by waving cheerfully. She felt better today. Not a lot, but better and that made the cheerful waving possible.

She considered who to sit down next to. It kept her standing.

River looked at Pippi and Tyler and then at the food. She had picked up some pooddeeeng.

"Hello!"

"Good. But no explosions today so far." She threw a quick smile at Tyler.

Tyler half-waved and raised his eyebrows to River.

It could mean, "Are you okay?" or "Are we cool?" or "Hey. I kissed you."

With his mouth, he says, "Hi, River."

River grinned back at him. She might still be worried about the Alliance soldiers, but Tyler made her feel happy. "Hello, Tyler."

Tyler reached a hand across the table. "So. Did you get up to anything interesting after we got back to school yesterday? I just hung out in my room."

"Hey River." Tim greeted, getting his food.

"Hello Tim," River said. She had kind of forgot their last meeting. Well, she tried not to think about it.

Tim also tried not to think about it, specially the part where Gwynn suggested that River might have a crush on him.

Sakurazaki stops by for some food before heading off to practise (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhighdorms/669735.html). She'd need fuel, after all. Sundweeches were pretty good fuel, too, so she lucked out. She avoided the pooddeeng.

Tempe was glad to see that there were turkey and swiss sandwiches, because they were the mun's her favourite type of sandwich.

She took a sandwich, and a bowl of chocolate pudding (that she may have looked at slightly nostalgically) and made her way to a table.

And no, those weren't tears in her eyes. She has allergies. Seriously.
