There are drinks set out on a folding table near the unlit campfire, and a couple of baskets filled with apples, oranges, and bananas, because sometimes you have to balance out all the doughnuts/twinkies/s'mores, after all. There's also a cardboard box at each end of the table, as yet unopened. Xander is standing in front of the table handing out cups.

"You'll probably each want something to drink, because I'm gonna make you talk, and some of you might be the type to get dry throats when you do this kind of talking.

Last week we looked at one specific job someone might have on a team; this time, we'll go with a skill that can be useful for anybody when you're trying to support your fellow Scooby-types -- or your flashy superpowered leader, if you have one. I figure we'll probably switch back and forth between those two things each week for most of the workshop, and look at putting them together towards the end.

So what skill comes in really handy when you're trying to investigate a crime, stop the bad guys, rescue the princess or otherwise save the day for goodness, justice, puppies, and truth?

The ability to lie your ass off.

I know that sounds kind of contradicty, like 'jumbo shrimp' or 'bad pie,' and some of you guys may not be down with bending the truth until it squeaks, but the fact is that sometimes you' might have to, at least for a while. You may need to cover for your friend with the secret identity, or your entire group that just cut class to go slay ~~vampires~~ dragons, or yourself, if you're in the wrong place at the wrong time. And hey, maybe you'll get lucky enough not to need it -- but it's a skill you should have, just in case."

"Germany?"

"He said to lie back and think of England," Jamie explained. "But I thought it would be wiser to think of a country that didn't have the Spice Girls or Elizabeth Hurley."

"The who or the what?"

"Hot girls from England," Jamie explained. "Or at least they were. In this dimension they may be scary celebrities."

"Never heard of them. Maybe they're not famous any more in the future."

"You mean no one will know the legacy of Elizabeth Hurley and the Spice Girls? How can the future survive without this priceless knowledge?"

"I have no idea. But somehow, we will persevere."

"Maybe you coming back in time was fate! You're here to make sure the legacy survives!"

"But do I care if the legacy survives? I mean, so far, all I know about them is that they're apparently hot. Says you."

"Isn't that enough?"

"Well, if they were hot guys, y'know, maybe I might care..."

"Ah. Well Elizabeth Hurley has dated several hot guys. Should their knowledge perish? Think of the benefit to humanity!"

"I don't know. Maybe. Which hot guys are we talking about here?"

"Not sure. I don't remember their names."

"If they're that non-memorable, why should I try to preserve their legacies? You're not being very convincing."

"Why would I remember guys who looked hot? Maybe you should judge them instead of me."

"But you can't even remember who they are for me to judge them."

"It's easy. I just look for photos of the girls and inevitably they'll be pictures of the hot guys right next to them at some weird charity event or something."
