There are drinks set out on a folding table near the unlit campfire, and a couple of baskets filled with apples, oranges, and bananas, because sometimes you have to balance out all the doughnuts/twinkies/s'mores, after all. There's also a cardboard box at each end of the table, as yet unopened. Xander is standing in front of the table handing out cups.

"You'll probably each want something to drink, because I'm gonna make you talk, and some of you might be the type to get dry throats when you do this kind of talking.

Last week we looked at one specific job someone might have on a team; this time, we'll go with a skill that can be useful for anybody when you're trying to support your fellow Scooby-types -- or your flashy superpowered leader, if you have one. I figure we'll probably switch back and forth between those two things each week for most of the workshop, and look at putting them together towards the end.

So what skill comes in really handy when you're trying to investigate a crime, stop the bad guys, rescue the princess or otherwise save the day for goodness, justice, puppies, and truth?

The ability to lie your ass off.

I know that sounds kind of contradicty, like 'jumbo shrimp' or 'bad pie,' and some of you guys may not be down with bending the truth until it squeaks, but the fact is that sometimes you' might have to, at least for a while. You may need to cover for your friend with the secret identity, or your entire group that just cut class to go slay ~~vampires~~ dragons, or yourself, if you're in the wrong place at the wrong time. And hey, maybe you'll get lucky enough not to need it -- but it's a skill you should have, just in case."

Blair spent a lot of time thinking over what he had done last week before answering.

1. I got two new pets last week.
2. I made my cabinmates sing Kumbayah.
3. I meditated outside.

Nadia was willing to bet number three was true. And she could see Blair talking his cabinmates (whoever they were) into singing Kumbayah.

"One. You have no new pets. Or maybe only one. Or three. But not two. ~~Five is right out.~~"

"Wrong!" Blair bounced excitedly. "I got two goldfish from the nature magic workshop. They bounce and everything, isn't that awesome?"

"Your goldfish bounce? And I'm guessing you didn't get your cabin to sing Kumbayah, then?"

"Three. There are bugs outside."

"That's actually the truth." Blair smiled. "Do you not like bugs or something?"

"I don't like the outdoors period. I'm a city girl."

"Well, since I'm a cabinmate and I don't recall singing Kumbayah, I'm going to have to go with number two," Lana said with a smile.

"You got me!" Blair bounced. "Although now I'm totally thinking we should do that before we move back to the dorms."

Lana laughed. "Better start working now on Bel!"

"Two. Because I doubt anybody could get all of their cabin mates to sing that horrible song." he says

"It's a good song!" Blair protested. "But you're right, that's the lie."

"Two" Shiro nodded. "I can't imagine anyone willingly singing Kumbayah."

"Correct, man. Although we sung it once in detention and everyone seemed to have fun. That could have been because of the hand holding with the mountie, though."

Having no idea what the frak Kumbayah is, D takes her guess. "One?"

"Wrong! I got goldfish last week!" Blair bounced happily. "They're small and in a bowl and really really cute."

"Oh, and two is the lie."

"Two. Because nobody is that evil."

Blair frowned but nodded. "Yes, that's the lie. But seriously people, it's a good song!"

"Two, because my cabin's right next door and I would've heard the singing."

"Yay Bridge! That's the lie alright." Blair bounced. "But now I'm thinking that we should have a kumbayah singalong. If you hear us singing, feel free to come over and join in."

Cordelia pondered. "Um. I think the Kumbayah is the lie. I don't know why, I just do."

"Yup, that's the lie." Blair smiled. "I got two goldfish last week and I did meditate outside some."

"I don't know how well Kumbayah would go over with most of the people here," Cordy said with a grin.

"I don't believe two," Rory told him. "You got your entire cabin to sing?"

"That's the lie, alright." Blair bounced. "But now I'm going to work on getting my cabin to sing with me. Bel's probably going to be the hardest one, but maybe he'll be influenced by peer pressure."
