There are drinks set out on a folding table near the unlit campfire, and a couple of baskets filled with apples, oranges, and bananas, because sometimes you have to balance out all the doughnuts/twinkies/s'mores, after all. There's also a cardboard box at each end of the table, as yet unopened. Xander is standing in front of the table handing out cups.

"You'll probably each want something to drink, because I'm gonna make you talk, and some of you might be the type to get dry throats when you do this kind of talking.

Last week we looked at one specific job someone might have on a team; this time, we'll go with a skill that can be useful for anybody when you're trying to support your fellow Scooby-types -- or your flashy superpowered leader, if you have one. I figure we'll probably switch back and forth between those two things each week for most of the workshop, and look at putting them together towards the end.

So what skill comes in really handy when you're trying to investigate a crime, stop the bad guys, rescue the princess or otherwise save the day for goodness, justice, puppies, and truth?

The ability to lie your ass off.

I know that sounds kind of contradicty, like 'jumbo shrimp' or 'bad pie,' and some of you guys may not be down with bending the truth until it squeaks, but the fact is that sometimes you' might have to, at least for a while. You may need to cover for your friend with the secret identity, or your entire group that just cut class to go slay ~~vampires~~ dragons, or yourself, if you're in the wrong place at the wrong time. And hey, maybe you'll get lucky enough not to need it -- but it's a skill you should have, just in case."

Count up how many people guessed correctly. ~~Or fudge it if you're tired of waiting around for enough people to sign in to make the count.~~ There's sixteen people in this workshop ~~in theory~~ so if it's eight or less, you're doing a pretty good job for a beginner; grab yourself a t-shirt from the box to the left of the table. If it's more than eight, you probably need some more practice, so while you're working on that, grab a t-shirt from the box to the right of the table to help you lull people into a false sense of security.

Nadia grabbed a shirt from the box on the left (since five people had guessed wrong and if the class has twelve people, that made it mathematically impossible for 8 or more to guess right). She read the shirt. Three times. And thought about what it meant.

And her brain exploded.

Wahoo, free stuff! Now that was something Shiro could get his mind around.

He snagged a t-shirt for himself. And then, becuase he sorta felt bad, he snagged a frog one for James.

Bridge bounces over to the table and grabs a t-shirt from the box on the left. And totally beams when he sees what colour the shirts are.

Cordy sulkily picked up a tshirt from the right, and noted that the colour totally didn't match her complexion at all and she would never wear it.

"I'll send it to Wesley," she muttered. "They can use it to wrap wounds or clean up blood spills or something.

~~WTF IS WRONG WITH ME. You saw nothing.~~

Z grabbed a shirt from the box on the left and bounced off. Yay, free clothes!
