Basketball game, gym -- 1:30 FHT Saturday

The other equipment in the gym has been moved out of the way, and it's finally game day. There are t-shirts for the blue and gold gremlins on each bench and a heavy air of expectation in the air.

Mostly, expectation that something will go horribly wrong. But it's expectation anyhow.

John takes the ball and tries to look tough and intimidating while dribbling. Of course, it would help if he hadn't worn a pair of yellow shorts to play.

Anyway, he passes to Sawyer who dribbles around and passes back to John.

Seeing Cam open, John tries to toss it to him but Cam starts to move away and the ball is sailing in the air.

Tyler snagged the ball one-handed, but Sawyer was breathing down his neck and he didn't feel comfortable going for the shot. He tossed it in Peter's direction.

Peter grabbed the ball and sent it up towards the net before the Gold Gremlin on him was able to try to reach in to steal the ball.

He grinned when it swooshed through the net and did a handstand of his own. Because not just the Gold team knew how to celebrate.

Cameron shook his head at the copycat and caught the ball. He dribbled until he got stuck, passed to Conner who passed to Swayer who passed back to Cameron.

Cameron took the shot, but it rolled around the rim before tipping to the side. Managing to grab the ball back, Cameron noticed john was open and passed it back to him hoping he had a better angle.

John catches the ball, moves quick light lightning for a lay up and actually throws the ball behind the hoop.

What an idiot.

He's able to catch it and knock it back in bounds though.

Cameron caught the ball, and after some dribbling managed to shake off the Gold's defences long enough to line up a shot. This time it did go in and Cameron whooped and ran up to John to celebrate with a headbutt.

"Yeah!" John headbutts back and then winces. "Ouch. Go Gold Team yay!"

Anders winced at the headbutting and sighed as he cleared the ball out to half court. "And people tell me I'm weird."

He did the slightly awkward crossover dribble he'd been working on (which was really dumb since he was pretty much open at the moment) and scanned the court to find that Tyler looked to be in good position.

"Tyler! Comin' your way, man!" he called, bounce-passing the ball over.

Tyler glanced up and just caught the ball. He wove around John and Cam on the way to the net and jumped, dunking the ball.

As he did, the referee blew the whistle. Five minutes to go.
