"Good morning," Jarod grinned, more focused than he'd been the week before. He was also wearing a swimsuit and his hair was damp. There was also a battery-operated CD player, currently playing The Beach Boys' greatest hits. "It's getting a bit warmer, so I thought we could try something a little different today. Today we'll be surfing. We have a collection of surfboards or bodyboards for you to choose from. Be careful with them, though, since they're on loan."

"Also," he said, gesturing towards a pile of equipment over on the sand, "we've got wetsuits available, if the water's too cold for you."

He grinned, possibly anticipating getting back out and doing some surfing for himself. "For those of you who don't want to surf, there's also some snorkeling equipment. All I ask is that you be careful, swim with a buddy, and snorkel in an area away from where people are surfing, so we don't have any accidents. Or there's always the get a tan and build sand castles option."

The CD player switched to Jan and Dean. "Go have fun!"

Jarod sighed and patted Jack. "Somehow, I think I'm going to be hearing about this later."

"For a long, long time." Parker looked around for her purse, hoping to find her cameraphone. "Since I'm not going to get you to cuddle him when he's human, I'm guessing."

"Cuddle?" His eyes widened at that thought. "Um, probably not. Sorry, Jack, but all my cuddles are spoken for."

Jack sighed sadly and twisted in Jarod's arms so he was lying on his back, paws waving in the air. //You sure? I'm a much better cuddler when I'm a human.// Fox ears were surprisingly expressive, and Jack's definitely had a suggestive tilt to them.

Jarod laughed, interpreting the expression on Jack's ears correctly. "Parker has a gun and isn't afraid to use it."

//Yeah, but it sounds like she wants us to cuddle.// He grinned slyly up at Jarod. //I'm not sure which of us should be worried.//

Isabel watched the byplay between Jack and Jarod and laughed. "Jarod, I think you understand him better then I do."

"I doubt that," Jarod said, amused, then glanced down at Jack. "Shoulder or sand? You're getting a bit heavy this way."

"So, how did this happen?"

Jack proceeded to try to climb up Jarod's shoulder.

"I don't have a clue. But Jack does, so I suppose once he's back to normal he'll tell us," Isabel said. "And then we can thwap him."

Jarod shifted Jack's weight, and let him drape himself on his shoulder if he was so inclined.

"I'll let you handle that," Jarod smirked at her.

Jack did his best impression of a fur collar and stretched himself across Jarod's shoulders, whuffling happily, and grinned down at Isabel, pointedly ignoring any and all threats of thwapping.

"If you want to go into the water, Isabel," he suggested, "I think I'm probably okay watching Jack for a while."

Isabel smiled, "Thank you Jarod, I think I will. You be good," she told Jack before heading over to find a wet suit and a body board.

Nodding, Jack watched her go, then craned his head around to look at Jarod, one ear pricked forward in question. //Now what?//

"Do you want play?" Jarod asked. "I'm sure I could find a stick for you to chase, or a ball, or a frisbee or something."

Jack sighed and hung his head. //It's still me in here.// Bracing his feet, he leapt off Jarod's shoulder, landing lightly on the ground. Casting an eye down the beach, he glanced up at Jarod and yipped several times, then nodded, paws dancing. //A frisbee might be fun, though.//

"Or you could just hang out here," Jarod suggested, "but I imagine it can't be comfortable for you, under all that fur. Maybe just some water?"

He pulled a frisbee out of his bag as he began looking for a new bottle.

It was warm, but there was something very appealing about the frisbee. He darted forward and grabbed it, bouncing on his back legs.

"Hey!" Jarod chuckled as he straighted, "I guess it's your throw, then."

Jack tossed his head, flipping the frisbee to land as close to Jarod as he could manage, and crouched in the sand, watching him intently.

Jarod bent and picked up the frisbee, and flicked his wrist, sending it off to his right.

Jack raced after it and leapt straight up into the air, trying to catch it.

He missed. But it was very close. He picked it up when it landed and trotted back to Jarod, dropping it at his feet expectantly.

"Oh, I see," he said, amused, "I'm just here for your entertainment." He winged it off towards the water, but not hard enough that Jack would get wet if he didn't want to.

Parker took pictures from the sidelines, grinning.

Jack shook his head at Parker, then raced after the frisbee, bounding into the water after it.

When he returned, he dropped it, planted his feet, and shook himself, sending water flying everywhere.
