Student Art Fair, Friday afternoon, Dorms Front Lawn

Since it was set to be a nice day, the Art Fair was laid out on the front lawn of the dorms.

When people entered, they were greeted with a selection of tissue paper flowers in colorful - mainly blue - vases. Beyond that, there was a number of displays from the various participating classes.

The Student Art Fair was open.

[OOC: Students with projects should start a subthread under their class for their project containing a description or link to a picture of their project. GOB's students should just get in place and perform for however long they want to. They are free to come and go.

Conversations in general areas should go under the General Conversation subthreads. Confusing, yes? Actual viewing and commenting on the different projects should go under the student's subthreads.

Jude bounced over. Bouncing because yay, he had just seen Setsuna for the first time in days.

"Hey, Maia!"

"Hey Jude." Maia said with a smile arranging her placard detailing her artwork. She was nearly bouncing out of her skin as she glanced at her watch. Two hours and then she would be on her way to Susan hopefully. "How's it going?"

"It's goin' awesome, bra!" Jude enthused, equally bouncy. "How about you? Hey, cool sculpture-thingy."

"Thanks." She said smiling at her gallows. "It's going really good. I'm going out of town this weekend actually."

"Oh really? Where ya headed?"

"Babylon 5." Maia said taking her hands away from the table to keep from compulsively straightening her sculptures again. "My friend Susan, well she's in charge of it you could say. So I'm going to see her this weekend. What are you up to?"

"Babylon 5," Jude repeated. "Sounds groovy. Hope ya have fun." He shrugged. "Dunno. Not up to much, really. Hangin' with Setsuna, hopefully." The dopey grin was back.

"Who's that? New girlfriend?" Maia looked impressed and pleased all at once.

"Uh, not exactly." Jude scratched the back of his head. "I mean, I'd like her to be, but she's . . . yeah. Well. Workin' on it. Uh, not like that . . ."

Maia looked a little surprise, Jude must like this girl three kinds of wicked because he had never been at a loss for words. "Wow, she must be three kinds of wicked, I don't think I have ever seen you at a loss for words before."

Jude chuckled. "Happens a lot, bra. But yeah. Setsuna can do that to me."

"I'll have to meet her when I come back." Maia said with a nod. "Nice to be back in the dorms though I have to admit, those cabins were a bit much after a week or so." Maia remembered Jude's SSSNNNOOOORRRRKKKK's all to well.

Jude shrugged. "I didn't have any problem with them. They were kinda fun." Also, Jude gets lonely in his room now that his roomie had evaporated into the wild blue yonder. He also slept through the fights and the snoring.

"Yeah." Maia said with a slight smile. "My roommate moved out last night." Maia said frowning slightly, "That aspect makes me wish we were back in the cabins I have to admit."

"Aww, that sucks, bra." Jude look sympathetic, shrugging. "My roommate just kinda vanished. Don't mind the space, but yeah, gets kinda lonely, y'know?"

'Yeah I know what you mean. River was my roommate last fall and she had to go back home so I was roomieless until this summer and now Paige left. Maybe I'm not cut out for a roommate..." She laughed softly.

"Maybe," Jude chuckled. "Never had a roommate before, so I don't know if it's just this time or if I'm cursed or somethin', too."

Maia shuffled her feet for a moment and then raised an eyebrow. "Maybe we could be roommates?" She said in a curious tone. "I've got a bathroom and kitchenette in my room."

Jude's eyes widened. Then his ears went pink. "With a girl?" he squeaked. "No offense or anything, bra, but I dunno if my girlfried would be too cool with that."

"Oh." Maia turned about three shades of red. "No of- of course not." She said shaking her head embarrassed. "I- well I'm sure I'll get a new one at the start of the fall term." Maia said quickly. "I didn't- I'm sorry. I didn't think about that."

"Hey, no, it's cool," Jude said, flailing a bit at the blushes he managed to inspire. "I'd love to, bra. I'll ask Setsuna if she's cool with it and see, alright?"

Maia nodded a little relieved that she didn't just blow the new friendship. "Naw it's cool. I don't want your new girlfiend to maybe get upset or something. We'll just see what happens in the new term. It's just a month or so away."

Jude nodded. "Yeah, it's cool. If ya don't pick up a roommate by then, I'll totally see what I can do." He grinned. "If ya don't mind half the room bein' a self-contained post-Apocalyptic disaster zone."

Maia laughed, "It's cool. We can just run some tape down the center of the room or something and keep it all neatly self contained."

Jude chuckled. "That might work."
