Karate, Gym, June 14th, Wednesday Morning

"Good morning, everyone," Tommy greets his class. "Sorry for not holding class last week- there was an... incident, that I had to take care of."

"Today, we're going to be learning the Meerkat style," Tommy says, and raises an eyebrow. "Yes, Meerkat. Which is, according to some of you guys, the natural enemy of the Stickbugs."

"Although the techniques of the Meerkat style can be adapted for one-on-one sparring," Tommy says as he runs through a demonstration, "they work best when you're working in concert with one or more other people. On that note, I'd like you guys to pair up, if you can, and find another pair to spar with."

"Don't hesitate to ask me if you have any questions."

Pip stretches out and looks around the gym, for he is sad and partner-less.

Okay, less sad and more partnerless, but the point remains.

Peter nods at Pip. "Enjoying your human form once more?" he asked with a grin.

"Oh yeah. Lips and opposable thumbs and the abillity to talk and everything. Human is definitely the way to go."

Peter laughed. "Well, I know talking animals who'd disagree with you, but for here? I can't argue."

"Plus, I don't have Nadia's cat trying to chase and eat me. That's a big plus."

Pip didn't seem at all suprised by the talking animals comment.

It was par for the course here.

"Too bad you couldn't have been a full grown goose then," Peter said. "You could have turned around and bit the cat. Not that I'd imagine Nadia would be too happy about that."

"Actually, the cat ended up running from me," Pip said. "I threw him into a wall with a sort of improvised judo thing and then kicked him in the face."

"Nothing like using your assets to your advantage," Peter said laughing. "Those webbed feet must have been useful to kick with."

"Oh yeah. You can get some really good impact with those things. Speaking of which, when do you want to have another Tae Kwon Do lesson?"

Peter grinned. "Anytime you like. Been practicing what you showed me. It's been fun."

Pip nodded. "Well... let's see. When's a good time for you?"

Peter considered. "Saturday morning perhaps? Other than that between basketball and the Washington DC trip, I think this weekend might be completely full. Or any afternoon next week ~~except Monday cause the mun will be out of town~~

"Ah yes. The basketball game thing. Well... Saturday morning doesn't work for me ~~Because the mun is taking a day trip to Greenwich~~. Maybe some time during the week?"

"Shall we say Tuesday afternoon then?" Peter suggested ~~while his mun was really, really jealous ;)~~

Pip nodded. "Tuesday afternoon should work."

"I appreciate it," Peter said with a grin. "How've you been minus the gosling episode?"

"Not bad. Kind of uneventful. I've been going to bed realy early lately, though. I'm not sure why."

"My mum told me early to bed, early to rise," Peter said. "Or maybe the inner bird in you is trying to catch the worm?"

"Why not?" Pip said. "It's a good an excuse as any."
