Karate, Gym, June 14th, Wednesday Morning

"Good morning, everyone," Tommy greets his class. "Sorry for not holding class last week- there was an... incident, that I had to take care of."

"Today, we're going to be learning the Meerkat style," Tommy says, and raises an eyebrow. "Yes, Meerkat. Which is, according to some of you guys, the natural enemy of the Stickbugs."

"Although the techniques of the Meerkat style can be adapted for one-on-one sparring," Tommy says as he runs through a demonstration, "they work best when you're working in concert with one or more other people. On that note, I'd like you guys to pair up, if you can, and find another pair to spar with."

"Don't hesitate to ask me if you have any questions."

Sakurazaki nods. "This is very true."

"Well, since we're in the middle of class, do you want to talk later?" he asked. "I haven't gotten much of a chance to really catch up on things since I came back."

She chuckles lightly. "Another good point. I was just kind of wasting some time until Ranma gets here..." She looks a little worried, because, if she remembered right, he's missed class before.

"Ah, all right. Maybe I should practice this a little more, if only for the exercise," he said. "Do you want to meet up after class?"

"I can't," she says with a big grin. No...a huge grin. "I have a very special assignment to tackle after class."

By the looks on her face, Alphonse deducted that it must've been something she was looking forward to. "Another class assignment?" he asked curiously.

She shakes her head, biting her lip to keep the excitement contained. "Nope; completely extracirricular. But it might mean I get my sword back."

"Oh!" Alphonse blinked, surprised. "Did they change the weapons rule or something?"

"Not yet, they haven't," she grins. "But after class, Peter and I are going to go see if we can't set up something like the firing range, so that some of us who are advanced enough to need actual swords to make any progress in our training can have the option of using our actual blades. And, if I can actually train with my sword again, I'm almost positive Ojou-sama will send Yuunagi back to me." She pauses, frowning for a moment despite her excited tone. "She has to..."

Alphonse still had that look of surprise on his face, now mixed in with some interest. "That sounds like an interesting idea," he agreed. "I think it'd be a neat thing to watch, too, since I don't really use weapons."

She smiles. "Good; I'll keep you in mind as someone to turn to if we need more support. But I've got a lot of confidence that it'll work."

"Hopefully it will! I don't think there are as many sword users as there are gun users here, and so far there hasn't been any trouble at the Firing Range, as far as I know. I'm sure lots of others would be happy about it, too."
