There was a large box at the front of the class and your teachers were inspecting the contents therein with varying levels of confusion. Because they for sure got the supplies for this from some less than reputable sources.

"Hi, good to see you all," Jane said once everyone was there. "Welcome to Arts and Crafts. And Dungeons. And Dragons. That's a lot to say in one go."

"Apparently the rolling weird dice hobby also involves making a lot of accessories." That was one way to describe it, Cara.

"So, for introductions, you're going to come and grab a random figure to paint and introduce to the class next week. We're giving you the time because there's a lot of details apparently?" Look, she wasn't an expert here. It wasn't astrophysics.

Also, half the mini-figs weren't even from D&D. So, good luck with that. Enjoy your weird ass Warhammer space marine or RuneQuest duck.

"Get to it." No, they weren't going to give you any tips on how to paint. They'd have to actually know some to do that.

It is a big box filled with random minis from so many different systems that Cara and Jane had somehow acquired.

Luckily for you, the person who'd kept getting into a different system before they'd ever played a game had at least primed everything in this assortment, because, yeah, you would not be learning about that step today. Or possibly ever.

There were also tables covered with butcher's paper and set up with various paints and brushes, some of them might even be suitable.
