fandomhigh | Detention

The Danger Shop, when students enter, looks like a somewhat rough part of an older part of a town. There were a few old cars around, one of which was noticably red - noticably mainly due to the fact that everything was in black and white - including the kids themselves ~~and if the Danger Shop can't do that, then *handwave* now it can~~ - save for a few splashes of color.

Becky was leaning against a wall, a piece of chalk in her hand. Miho was, naturally, nowhere to be found. And she wouldn't be, until she felt the need to be seen. On the wall, in suprisingly neat writing, read:

Parker glared at him. "I thought the nightmares were over. Instead, they're still going on." She bit her lip. "Better this than the fairy costume, I guess."

"Don't worry, ma'am," Cameron said, pretty much ignoring the glare and getting into roll. "I will come to your aid when it appears that the outfit is taking over your mind and you're too nice to people."

Parker gave him an incredulous look. "Okay, for that? I should put on the dominatrix costume."

When she comes out of hte dressing room, she's glaring again. The skirt is too short, the blouse is too short *and* too tight, the sweater won't button, and the kneesocks are sheer and semaed. "I was a Catholic schoolgirl, and the uniforms never looked like this."

Joxer grinned at Parker. "Nice outfit," he said.

Which really wasn't a smart idea for a guy in a wedding dress.

Seeing as someone else had said it, Cameron was totally good just standing back and watching the results.

Parker put her hands on her hips and swaggered over, her voice icy. "And what, exactly, are you supposed to be? Someone's idea of a virgin sacrifice?"

Joxer took a step back. "Hey, there's no reason to be hitting below the belt, here," he said. "I just thought you looked kinda pretty like that."

Parker cocked an eyebrow, and smirked, then put a headband in her hair. "TMI, Joxer. I was commenting on the costume, but thanks for sharing." She grumbled. "I don't care if it's pretty. This is so... wrong." She glared at the rosary bracelet, then said, "I feel like Madonna."

And that was too much. Cameron snorted.

Parker glared, then smirked, and did a badass walk-strut toward him. "Something you've got to say, 'Major'?" she growled, flicking the insignia on his costume.

Cameron straightened up, suppressing the smirk. "No, ma'am. You seem awfully into powerplay for a catholic schoolgirl, ma'am."

"Newsflash, flyboy: I was a Catholic schoolgirl. And I dated a would-be priest while wearing an outfit better-fitting but still remarkably similar to this one." She gave him a feral grin. "And just for that? You're getting cuffed."

Joxer boggled. But he didn't ask who Madonna was.

"I'm stuck in a dress," he pointed out.

"True." Parker cocked her head at him. "And it's a very fetching look for you. Never get arrested, Joxer."

"Please," Joxer said with a chuckle. "Like I'd ever get caught."

Peter blinked at Parker's costume and tipped his cowboy hat. He wanted to say something but was a bit too busy trying not to blush.

Parker smirked at him, and rolled her eyes. "I think this is supposed to fit Dawn or Nadia, not me."

"Well, ma'am, I cain't say that," Peter said in a very bad Western accent.

The atttempt at cowboy was *far* too amusing. Parker dimpled at him. "Thanks? I think?" She grinned. "You look more like Tom Mix than Clint Eastwood, but at least you're in 'Yankee' clothes now."

Peter straightened his bolo tie. "I'd thank you if'n I knew either of those gents. But I cain't but wear Yankee clothes bein' one." He winced and dropped out of the accent. "And I just took the 'being in character' way too far."

Parker grinned, and adopted a British accent. Kind of Emma Thompson by way of Julie Andrews. "I rather think so. Then again, one can't help one's native accent. And the difficulty it presents when adopting a foreign character." She dropped the accent and said, "American movie star cowboys. Somewhat more convincing than you, but not by much."

Peter couldn't help laughing. "Indeed no. Though 'cowboy' is easier than say French or German."

"True. Thank god I got here early enough not to get stuck with the French maid's costume." She cocked her eye at Walter. "Although he seems to be doing okay with it."

Peter looked over. "I can definitely see where you'd get them mixed up, but isn't it Pippi (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/897976.html?thread=44559032#t44559032) who is the French Maid?" He grinned.

"Point. And yikes." She shook her head at Conner, too. "You got lucky as well." She facepalmed. "Um, you know what I mean."
