Detention - 06/10

The Danger Shop, when students enter, looks like a somewhat rough part of an older part of a town. There were a few old cars around, one of which was noticably red - noticably mainly due to the fact that everything was in black and white - including the kids themselves and if the Danger Shop can't do that, then *handwave* now it can - save for a few splashes of color.

Becky was leaning against a wall, a piece of chalk in her hand. Miho was, naturally, nowhere to be found. And she wouldn't be, until she felt the need to be seen. On the wall, in suprisingly neat writing, read:

Alec
Joxer
Walter Dornez
Tyler Durden
Gwynn Hood
Pippi Longstocking
Jamie Madrox
Conner McKnight
Cameron Mitchell
M. Parker
Peter Parker
Peter Pevensie
Nadia Santos
Dawn Summers
Dean Winchester
Sam Winchester

She crossed names off as students filed in.

[OOC: Naturally, OCD is coming up, yay! Also, getting this up now as I? Have not made with the sleepination yet, and neither has Miho's player. Will be responding from about noon EST onwards.

ETA: see availability in Rory's journal back, and my cat is fine. :) Thank you everyone for thinking of me.]

"I think it is," Cameron told Parker and it would be dumb for Cameron to smirk at the outfit she picked, so he didn't. For the most part. He did quickly snag up the Navy uniform as that seemed the most logical and less painful choice.

Tyler decides he has to go for Elvis, which is a white fringed jumpsuit with gray sequins on the back. He tries to push his hair into a pompadour to match the costume. "Thank ya, thank ya very much," he said; his southern accent was actually not that bad.

"Didn't know you have it in you," Cameron grinned as he buttoned up his vest and put on the hat. Realising he had to be in role, he straightened up and saluted Elvis!Tyler. "Major Mitchell. Reporting for duty, sir."

Tyler gave his normal half-smile, then forced it into an Elvis-y grin. "My manager, his name is, ah, Major Tom. No relation."

Still doing the accent.

"I'd watch out for him, sir. I've heard rumours about possible treason. He might run off to go inspire David Bowie," Cameron said with a small smirk.

"That skinny English kid?" Elvis!Tyler asked. "He ain't got nothing on thie king, baby. Nothin' to worry about."

"I think that works for you, Tyler," Peter said with a grin.. "Always wanted to be a cowboy, I suppose." He grabbed the costume and hoped to find a Red Ryder beebee gun.

Gwynn had picked up the leather dominatrix costume and was looking at it with some confusion. She held up the pirate costume as well and looked back and forth between them.

She finally decided on the purate costume.

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-06-10 01:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Peter began to bow to Gwynn, then remembering the need to get into character, he tipped his hat to her and said in a bad Western accent, "mornin', ma'am."

Re: Activity 1: Costumes

[identity profile] notafairmaiden.livejournal.com 2006-06-10 01:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Gwynn had put on the pirate costume and felt even more confused. She looked from what she was wearing to what Peter was wearing and then shook her head.

"What is going on?"

"We're being punished for poor behavior. I suppose by humiliation given some of the costumes?" Peter explained.

Gwynn was happy she had put on the pirate costume and not the strappy dominatrix costume, then. The costume she had chosen was not as skin tight as the dominatrix costume seemed to be.

"But I didn't do anything wrong," Gwynn said in confusion. "I have been very careful not to do anything against the school's rules."

Parker glared at him. "I thought the nightmares were over. Instead, they're still going on." She bit her lip. "Better this than the fairy costume, I guess."

Re: Activity 1: Costumes

[identity profile] cameronmitchell.livejournal.com 2006-06-10 04:26 pm (UTC)(link)
"Don't worry, ma'am," Cameron said, pretty much ignoring the glare and getting into roll. "I will come to your aid when it appears that the outfit is taking over your mind and you're too nice to people."

Re: Activity 1: Costumes

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-06-10 04:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Parker gave him an incredulous look. "Okay, for that? I should put on the dominatrix costume."

When she comes out of hte dressing room, she's glaring again. The skirt is too short, the blouse is too short *and* too tight, the sweater won't button, and the kneesocks are sheer and semaed. "I was a Catholic schoolgirl, and the uniforms never looked like this."

Re: Activity 1: Costumes

[identity profile] joxertehmighty.livejournal.com 2006-06-10 04:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Joxer grinned at Parker. "Nice outfit," he said.

Which really wasn't a smart idea for a guy in a wedding dress.

Re: Activity 1: Costumes

[identity profile] cameronmitchell.livejournal.com 2006-06-10 04:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Seeing as someone else had said it, Cameron was totally good just standing back and watching the results.

Re: Activity 1: Costumes

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-06-10 05:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Parker put her hands on her hips and swaggered over, her voice icy. "And what, exactly, are you supposed to be? Someone's idea of a virgin sacrifice?"

Re: Activity 1: Costumes

[identity profile] joxertehmighty.livejournal.com 2006-06-10 05:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Joxer took a step back. "Hey, there's no reason to be hitting below the belt, here," he said. "I just thought you looked kinda pretty like that."

Re: Activity 1: Costumes

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-06-10 05:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Peter blinked at Parker's costume and tipped his cowboy hat. He wanted to say something but was a bit too busy trying not to blush.

Re: Activity 1: Costumes

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-06-10 05:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Parker smirked at him, and rolled her eyes. "I think this is supposed to fit Dawn or Nadia, not me."

Re: Activity 1: Costumes

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-06-10 05:41 pm (UTC)(link)
"Well, ma'am, I cain't say that," Peter said in a very bad Western accent.

Re: Activity 1: Costumes

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-06-10 05:44 pm (UTC)(link)
The atttempt at cowboy was *far* too amusing. Parker dimpled at him. "Thanks? I think?" She grinned. "You look more like Tom Mix than Clint Eastwood, but at least you're in 'Yankee' clothes now."

Re: Activity 1: Costumes

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-06-10 05:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Peter straightened his bolo tie. "I'd thank you if'n I knew either of those gents. But I cain't but wear Yankee clothes bein' one." He winced and dropped out of the accent. "And I just took the 'being in character' way too far."

Re: Activity 1: Costumes

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-06-10 05:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Parker grinned, and adopted a British accent. Kind of Emma Thompson by way of Julie Andrews. "I rather think so. Then again, one can't help one's native accent. And the difficulty it presents when adopting a foreign character." She dropped the accent and said, "American movie star cowboys. Somewhat more convincing than you, but not by much."
