Basketball Practice, Friday Afternoon, Camp Gym

The book fair was in the school gym, so Tyler had handwavily sent out an email telling the basketball team to practice in the camp gym instead.

He was attempting to clear the court of tiny frogs through enthusiastic dribbling. Sadly, the frogs seemed to enjoy the vibrations.

GOB was listening to an audio book on motivational speaking. He was going to need it for pre-game and halftime speeches.

He was also ready to listen to any whiny brats who had questions for him. Or who wanted actual coaching. Whatever.

GOB pulled off his headphones. "You could be doing worse. But don't be afraid to attack the basket, even if there are frogs around it! The frogs are your enemies. Squish them like there's no tomorrow!"

"Oh, and don't forget to work on your layups like Sock Love over there."

Tyler nodded, grim. "Kill the frogs, work on my layups. Got it."

He paused and grinned. "Did you just call Jamie Sock Love? I think I may need to pull that one out."

"Yeah. Sock Love and Dorkface -" GOB pointed at Greg, "are in my workshop. I gave them nicknames to show how much my students mean to me."

"Huh. I should probably give the rest of the team nicknames, too. I don't want anyone feeling left out."

"That might really help with team unity, sir," Tyler said. He even managed to look serious. "It's not fair if Gr- if Dorkface and Sock Love get nicknames and the rest of us don't."

"I think I'll work on those for next week. Maybe even get them printed on shirts," GOB said. "We don't want to have team disunity or anything."
