Basketball Practice, Friday Afternoon, Camp Gym

The book fair was in the school gym, so Tyler had handwavily sent out an email telling the basketball team to practice in the camp gym instead.

He was attempting to clear the court of tiny frogs through enthusiastic dribbling. Sadly, the frogs seemed to enjoy the vibrations.

[OOC: Please wait for OCD's up, go for it. Do whatever drills strike your fancy, no need to play them all out. Expect some SP from me, sorry.]

Peter did the drill dribbling and turning smoothly but missing the layup at the end. He immediately went back to try again.

Tyler followed Peter. "This is a hard one," he noted.

Peter nodded. "Takes a bit just to figure out what one's supposed to do."

"Plus, my left hand is weaker," Tyler said. "I get screwed up when I try to swtch hands."

As he spoke, the ball went careening off to one side, and Tyler watched it with a flummoxed expression on his face. "Like that, see."

"Could try always dribbling with your left until it gets better," Peter said, grabbing Tyler's ball as it bounced by him. He passed it back.

Tyler caught it. "I could," he agreed. Clearly concentrating, he went into the exercise using only his left hand. "So how are you?"

"Fairly well," Peter replied. "Not particularly looking forward to detention tomorrow, but we'll all survive, I hope. You?"

"It's been a long week," Tyler sighed.

He paused, concentrating on his left-handed dribbling. "I can think of worse people to have detention with than Becky," he said finally. "You know?"

Peter tried a lay up, missed, and nodded. "Seems like it has been for a lot of people. Hopefully next week will be better. The World Cup will be on so that has to help. And I was just joking about surviving detention. Who's Becky?"

"You're a soccer fan?" Tyler asked. "Becky's the sex ed teacher. She looks like Rory except in black and white and with better clothes, and she seems really cool."

"Of course. There was football when I was a kid." He grinned. "Plus any chance to support the Brits against Germany, you know." He paused and said slowly. "The sex ed teacher is taking detention?"
