Applied Dadaism: Fun and Games, Friday morning, main campfire

Artie awaited his campers in the main campfire area as usual.

Well, almost as usual. Today he was wearing a football helmet and seemed to have stuck a playground ball up his shirt.

It’s best not to ask, really.

“Welcome, campers! I hope all of you had a very pipe week. I know I have. The weather seems to have become Dada in our honor! And tasty! I’m sure you all have your own Dada stories to tell today, as well!”

Once the reporting on their days of Dada was done, Artie pulled the ball from beneath his shirt and bounced it on his head a few times. “Some of you know that I ran detention this weekend. We had a very successful game of dodgeball, there. So successful that I have decided that today, we are going to play our own game! Dada dodgeball!”

The field was nicely clear of kittens, butterflies, and pudding. There are six five-gallon buckets and twine, creating a rectangular playing field divided down the middle.

“These are your rules!” Artie held up a piece of paper with the words “rules for dodgeball” written on it in bright, friendly letters. Then he ripped it apart. “Have fun!”

The ball hit Jamie where he promptly sat down and began to psychoanalyse Walter.

He then announced with an Austrian accent: "Valter has bin without the touch uf his mudda. Therefore ze moost be out or be called Vally for ze rest of ze day."

Walter threw a rubber fish at a non-psychoanalyzing Jamie. "My name is Fishgrenade, but because you are lonely, you may call me Wally."

Jamie caught the fish and gave it a hug because he was lonely.

He then threw a kumquat at Walter.

"Catch this and you will be Lord of Venison!"

Walter caught the kumquat in his teeth, resulting in kumquat spatters all over his face. He then rummaged around in the boxes until he found a reindeer antler headband from Christmas and put it on.

"I declare today Eat Like a Deer Day and you're out because fish is not on a deer's menu."

Jamie went off to be out with his rubber fish.

A duplicate however then threw a rubber balloon of Thousand Island dressing at Walter screaming "BIG MAC!"

Walter hesitated for a split second while butler-brain argued with Dada-brain about catching a balloon filled with whatever it was filled with. Dada-brain won and he caught the balloon, earning himself a thorough coating of dressing.

"Ah ha! I am armored." He threw a head of lettuce at a Jamie. "And I'm coming to get you!"

Jamie caught the lettuce and began to eat it. "Mmm! Pipe-a-licious!"

"You need sauce with that!" Walter found a ketchup bottle and squirted ketchup at Jamie.

Jamie is squirted with ketchup. He falls to the ground.

"Lo! I am wounded! Give me cookies!"

Walter finds a half dozen frisbees and throws them to land on the wounded Jamie. "Enjoy!"

Jamie doesn't move because "lo" he is wounded.

Walter throws a classic, regulation dodgeball at the wounded Jamie, assuming he'll get a new Jamie out of that.

Also with Ketchup on him.

So he likewise did not move as he was wounded. Lo.
