Archery Workshop #3, 6/6, Danger Shop, Afternoon

The Danger Shop was set up much like it had been the week before: outdoors, targets, bows, quivers, except this time the arrows have the more traditional points on them, as opposed to suction cups. There is no blackboard, as Miho is being optimistic and hopes her students are smart enough to figure out what to do. The sign-in sheet is on a folding table near the entrance.

Miho prowls up and down the line of students, a pad of detention slips and a pen in hand and a tiny, very scary smile on her face. She was initially going to give the whole class detention just for the heck of it, but Goldie said she didn't think teachers were allowed to do that.

"I'll have to see if I can find a copy of it for you," Dean promised. He looked around and leaned closer, lowering his voice, "Guess what I spent yesterday morning doing?"

"Broke into one of the empty rooms on the fourth floor."

"Well it still mostly looks like a normal dorm room, but I did get all the protections up." He grinned at her. "Feel like helping me figure out what else needs to go in there to be 'the place'?"

"I could do that," Dawn smiled back. "What kind of protections are we talking about here? Like what Sam put on our room?"

"Yeah. And salt, catseye shells, the works. Anything you want to add would be great. But I was thinking more along the lines of helping come up with a list of ammenties. What kind of stuff do you want in a secret hideout?"

"Minifridge," Dawn said immediately. "Something to sit on. Costume rack."

Dean's eyebrows went up. "Costume rack?"

"How can you have a secret hideout without a costume?" she asked, already giggling. "The look on your face..."

"Well the idea of you, a secret room and costumes... my mind may have gone to places that will get me hit if I share."

She thwapped him anyway. "Who said it was my costume?"

Dean paused, thinking about it. "Nope. Still bad naughty places."

Dawn blushed, but laughed anyway. "Just say no to bad naughty places?"

Dean opened his mouth and closed it without actually answering.

She poked him and raised an eyebrow.

"But I kinda like the bad naughty places," Dean admitted, trying to look cute.

"You're such a boy," Dawn said with disdain. Though not really that much, because Dean was her boyfriend and he was good at being a boy. Plus, he looked very cute.

Dawn was beginning to understand a lot more of the stuff she'd overheard from Buffy and her friends over the past few years. "I mean that you think very...boy-type thoughts. I'm not used to that."

"Course not," Dean said again as if it was obvious. "You're a girl. You think girl-type thoughts which I with my boy-brain will never be able to fully comprehend."

"We really need a boy to girl dictionary," Dawn said.

"And a girl to boy version too," Dean agreed. "Maybe we can work on that together."

"Yes, and then what people ask us what we're doing in 'the place,' we can tell them we're writing a dictionary and they'll think we're the biggest geeks ever," she nodded.

"Well we could always tell them we're dressing up in costumes and having hot wild monkey sex, but then we're back to the bad and naughty place again," Dean pointed out. "Maybe we can be vague and mysterious and say we're doing research?"
