Archery Workshop #3, 6/6, Danger Shop, Afternoon

The Danger Shop was set up much like it had been the week before: outdoors, targets, bows, quivers, except this time the arrows have the more traditional points on them, as opposed to suction cups. There is no blackboard, as Miho is being optimistic and hopes her students are smart enough to figure out what to do. The sign-in sheet is on a folding table near the entrance.

Miho prowls up and down the line of students, a pad of detention slips and a pen in hand and a tiny, very scary smile on her face. She was initially going to give the whole class detention just for the heck of it, but Goldie said she didn't think teachers were allowed to do that.

"Yes, and then what people ask us what we're doing in 'the place,' we can tell them we're writing a dictionary and they'll think we're the biggest geeks ever," she nodded.

"Well we could always tell them we're dressing up in costumes and having hot wild monkey sex, but then we're back to the bad and naughty place again," Dean pointed out. "Maybe we can be vague and mysterious and say we're doing research?"

Dawn blushed bright red and choked at Dean's suggestion, almost dropping her bow. "That sounds like a good idea."

Dean watched her for a moment then a sudden mischievous impulse made him add, "Hot wild meerkat sex?"

Dawn eeped and buried her head in her hands. The bow fell to the ground, forgotten.

Okay, that's never the kind of reaction a guy wanted to get from a girl when sex is mentioned, joking or otherwise. He leaned over to try and meet her eyes. "I'm kidding, Dawn, really," he said, trying to give her a reassuring smile. "Not that I would say no to... never mind. Kidding. Just a joke."

Dawn peeked over her fingers, but the visual image he'd given her, well, it hadn't gone away. "Kidding? In my head, I now have monkeys having wild sex with meerkats!" She thwapped him again.

Oh. "Maybe I should've said penguins instead of meerkats?"

"You'd traumatize the penguins? Those monkeys are sex fiends! What would National Geographic say?"

"Nature is a wondrous thing?" Dean guessed.

She groaned. "Make the bad mental pictures go away, please!"

"Ice cream?" Dean asked, saying the first thing that popped into his head.

"Oooh. Always the right answer."

Dean grinned. "I'll have to remember that."

"Well, except for when it's pie."

"Ice cream pie isn't the right answer?"

Dawn gaped at him. "There's ice cream pie?"

Dean blinked, but rolled with the conversation tide. "I don't have one handy, but I'm sure we should be able to find something like that in town somewhere."

"I'm still not wearing a costume," she grinned, "but that would definitely put you on the short list for the best boyfriend forever award."

"Hey, you're the one who wanted a costume rack. I was just following logically on from there."

Dean grinned. "Really? Forever?"

"I was kidding," Dawn pointed out, "and, well...yes?"
