Archery Workshop #3, 6/6, Danger Shop, Afternoon

The Danger Shop was set up much like it had been the week before: outdoors, targets, bows, quivers, except this time the arrows have the more traditional points on them, as opposed to suction cups. There is no blackboard, as Miho is being optimistic and hopes her students are smart enough to figure out what to do. The sign-in sheet is on a folding table near the entrance.

Miho prowls up and down the line of students, a pad of detention slips and a pen in hand and a tiny, very scary smile on her face. She was initially going to give the whole class detention just for the heck of it, but Goldie said she didn't think teachers were allowed to do that.

In between taking his own shots, Sam watched everyone else taking theirs. He figured it couldn't hurt to know how he was faring compared to everyone else.

Buffy waved hi, and just avoided braining Dawn with her bow.

Sam waved back, with the hand that wasn't holding his bow because he was a little smarter than that.

She held up one of the arrows, pointed at the very sharp tip, then beamed.

He couldn't help but laugh at how pleased she looked, and nodded. "Flying fatalities?"

Buffy nodded happily after a quick look around to make sure Miho wasn't looking at her.

Sam laughed again and gave Buffy a thumbs up.

Dean caught him looking. "I thought all good geekboys keep their eyes on their own papers," he teased.

"This isn't a test," Sam replied. "I'm just looking to see how everyone is doing. It's not cheating."

"Of course not," Dean agreed with a smirk. "Never said it was. Watching other people shoot doesn't usually make you better." He looked at Sam's target. "Not bad, little brother."

Sam smiled proudly. "Thanks. I guess all the training comes in handy even in mundane situations," he said, pulling back and letting another arrow go.

"Yep, Bagging demons and getting a good grade in archey class. The Winchesters can do it all."

Sam snickered. "So how was your morning?" he asked.

"It was... weird," Dean finally settled on.

Sam frowned. "Weird? Like, good weird or scary weird?"

"Weird weird. Looked in on Alec this morning. He was...." Dean hesitated, trying to find the words to adequately describe Alec's behaviour ~~which is difficult because we haven't written the scene yet~~. "Twitchy," he finally decided on.

"Really?" Sam gave a light shrug. "Maybe he's still worked up about Buffy kicking his ass in the gym yesterday," he said, smirking at the memory.

"He didn't seem all that bothered about it last night," Dean said. "Although he was a little cranky when pompoms got brought up."

Sam snickered. "I imagine he would have been crankier if you'd mentioned wearing a skirt to him."

Dean grinned. "I did."

"Perfect." Sam smiled. "So do you think Alec's okay?"

"I don't know," Dean said, remembering how pale and almost haunted Alec had been, and suddenly remembering why it had seemed so familiar. "He kinda reminded me a little of Dad when he gets... y'know. Dark."

Miho handed Sam a detention slip. The reason given was, of course, Cheating.

She was starting to like this teaching thing.

Sam looked back and forth between Miho and the detention slip. "But I wasn't cheating, honestly!" he said, before realizing that maybe arguing with a ninja might not be the smartest idea, and closing his mouth quickly.

Miho shrugged at him and moved on.
