Detention [6/3]

The danger shop is divided into four sections. The first is just an open space with hardwood floors and windows high off the ground, somewhat resembling the open floor of a high school gymnasium. The second is a row of desks, like one might find in a typical high school classroom. The third looks vaguely high school cafeteria-ish, and fourth, furthest from the door, looks like, of all things, a basement, filled with basement-y things like old, forgotten souvenirs, with a cracked, cement floor.

Artie sits at one of the desks as the students arrive.

[ooc: the OCD is up! Detention will be running from 9 am to 5:30 FHT, or when the final activity has been completed successfully, whichever comes first.

ETA Artie-mun is now going afk. Afternoon activities are slowplayable this evening as long as everyone is amenable to that. Have fun, peeps. Talk to Artie thread can be slow played, too, Molly and Hermione.]

Before lunch: Dodgeball!

Artie posed in front of the students. "Greetings, naughty campers! Welcome to detention! I am Artie! the strongest man . . . in the world! Some people might ask why you are in detention! Not I! I will only give you fun things to do and teach you some teamwork!"

He strode to the gymnasium portion of the room. "First! To build a team mentality, we will play a team game! Dodgeball! You are all one team! Your opponents are these people!" He pushed some buttons on a remote, and the opposing team appeared. It consisted of a handful of school bully types, a pirate, a nerd, a guy in a weird sports uniform, and a very evil looking man-sized bunny.

He *handwavily* explained the rules to the campers, and threw several balls onto the court. "Let's play dodgeball!"

[ooc: I tried to work out an organized way to play dodgeball in game. I failed. Please do not be godmodding, say who you're aiming at (pirate, bunny, uniform guy, nerd, colorful thug, preppie thug, determined thug, smiling thug), that sort of thing. Dodgeball is chaotic. So, yeah. Bel, please to not be using fireballs. Otherwise, use your powers how you see fit.]

The cafeteria had a lovely array of tasty sandwiches. There were also frozen beverage machines, with labels reading Grape Judas, Lime Balthazor, and Orange Lazarus. Watch out for brain freeze on that last one.

Artie led the group to the classroom portion of the dangershop. "Teams are tricky things. Sometimes the people on your team might be hiding something! Like if they are an alien! Think of tests to find out more about your teammates! Are they adapted to the Earth's gravitational field? Do they have strange or unusual ways of thinking? What color is their spit? These are burning questions! Test each other! You never know what you might learn!"

Molly looked around at the other people in detention. She pretty much knew that none of them were aliens already. Well, except Hermione.

She sat down by Hermione. "So, how's Earth gravity treating you?" she asked with a grin.

John sat in hte back. After what had happened, he wondered if he was't a cyborgn alien.

Final activity!

Now into the basement portion of the room, once everyone was gathered, the missing fourth wall appeared, blocking any route back to the door. "You have your team! You know they can be trusted! Now, you must work together for one goal! Escape this detention! Through the floor! To the door! Then you may leave and have fun! Use what you may find in this basement to do it!"

[ooc: That's right, they can leave detention when they escape. I gotta jet at about 6 pm EST, so you'll all be out by then, I promise.]

Yes, all the activities are canon to The Adventures of Pete and Pete. Artie has actually served detention, once, for helping Little Pete with a game of dodgeball. While there, he was tested to see if he was an alien.
