Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, Saturday, All Day

So, it wasn't Fall yet by a long shot. The temperatures were still high, the leaves were still green, and the calendar still said August. But the calendar of consumerism didn't care about reality and thus, the welcome picnic was decorated for fall. The tables were covered in reds, oranges, and yellows, there was apple cider in the punch bowls and, of course, if the food on the table could come in pumpkin spice form, it was here in pumpkin spice form.

It definitely wouldn't be the craziest thing to save the world. "I love that kind of spirit," Don told her. "So, can you tell me a little bit more about where you're from, so I know what your kind of...baseline, I guess, is?"

“Because of the multiple universes,” Billie said, nodding. “I’m from Earth. Uh, 2020. Our reality just almost collapsed but be totally defeated that gnarly situation! Uh. Oh! No fairies or necromancers, as far as I know. And like I told Erasmus, I feel like we would have noticed when all of reality was encompassed in one freeway interchange.”

"One would think so, wouldn't they?" Don mused. "Well, it's 2025 here, so congratulations on your little time skip there. I don't think things have changed that much in the past five years," haaaaaaaa, "but I was dead for most of them so don't quote me on that."

"That's probably true," Don agreed. "I just never thought about Death's...oh, but you should know that apparently sometimes the island likes to play tricks with things like that. Changing people's sex or age for a few days. Sometimes people are animals. Once I was a duck. That talked."

"Happy to help," Don said. "It's impossible to know what size you'll end up, of course, but it might not hurt to keep some, uh, smaller or larger clothes around, just in case."
