Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, Saturday, All Day

So, it wasn't Fall yet by a long shot. The temperatures were still high, the leaves were still green, and the calendar still said August. But the calendar of consumerism didn't care about reality and thus, the welcome picnic was decorated for fall. The tables were covered in reds, oranges, and yellows, there was apple cider in the punch bowls and, of course, if the food on the table could come in pumpkin spice form, it was here in pumpkin spice form.

"Oh, no," Don told her. "I thought I was a duck named Donald, who could talk and wore a shirt but no pants." Very normal stuff.

"Doctor," Don corrected again, and then mentally kicked himself.

We will have to start a jar, Thor teased him, As some folk have for profanity.

Don would just be ignoring the god in his head. "I think you have a pretty good foundation. I could try to tell you every weird thing about this island, but that would be...a lot. If you have any questions, my contact info is in the directory. Oh! You should know about the squirrels, actually." He looked around until he found one with a notepad and pointed it out. "They report all the happenings around the island to the local radio station for its daily 'news' broadcast, which is usually more like a lot of gossip. A good breakup can keep them busy for weeks. They're mostly harmless, but if you don't want them to cover something, they can be bribed with, uh. Rum."

Billie followed his finger and nodded seriously, watching the squirrel. She only blinked and looked at Don again on that last bit.

“Do they have a preferred brand?”
