Luau, The Main Campfire, Friday evening

The main campfire had been turned into a tropical paradise... without the tropics. There were leis and grass skirts to wear, tropical music playing, a buffet table, and the infamous Limbo Stick of Destiny, an artifact brought back to America from World War II. Noody knows what happens when a person wins a limbo competition involving the Limbo Stick of Destiny, but several experts on the subject suggest that "absolutely nothing happens except maybe you win a little trophy."

It was party time at the Fandom High Summer Camp.

[OOC: OCD is up. Yes, there is pig, poi, and sometimes the band will switch from generic tropical music to 60's beach movie music, or maybe reggae, or Raffi. They're unpredictable like that.

The luau takes place during a long break in the rain that [livejournal.com profile] fh_weather is reporting. Yes, I'm modding the weather. Admin privilege.]

Willow's heart was in her throat, which was why her reply was to look him in the eye and quietly nod her permission.

Peter unconsciously wet his lips then bent his head carefully to kiss her gently on the mouth.

Willow gave a soft gasp, then leaned up to return the kiss. She was trembling, but holding tight so he didn't go anywhere.

Not going anywhere, Peter moved his left hand up to the middle of her back and leaned in a bit to deepen the kiss slightly.

Willow got up on tiptoe to help get closer. Her heart had found its way back to her chest and was now pounding so loud that, if she could think, she'd wonder if Peter could hear it.

Peter brought his right hand up to gently cup Willow's jaw. He wanted to keep kissing but pulled away gently, not wanting to overstep.

Willow's eyes blinked open. She smiled. "That was nice."

"It was, thank you," he replied.

"You - thank you," Willow said. She looked shy, and a little flustered, but happy.

"It was my pleasure." Peter started to laugh. "I think we just went in a full circle."

"No wonder I feel dizzy," Willow said.

"Me too," Peter replied, still laughing.

"We could sit?" Willow suggested. "Or - or you could walk me back to my cabin?"

"Certainly, my Lady," Peter said, offering his arm. "Shall we?"

Willow took his arm for a handwavey walk home. "Let's, Sir Peter."
