Luau, The Main Campfire, Friday evening

The main campfire had been turned into a tropical paradise... without the tropics. There were leis and grass skirts to wear, tropical music playing, a buffet table, and the infamous Limbo Stick of Destiny, an artifact brought back to America from World War II. Noody knows what happens when a person wins a limbo competition involving the Limbo Stick of Destiny, but several experts on the subject suggest that "absolutely nothing happens except maybe you win a little trophy."

It was party time at the Fandom High Summer Camp.

[OOC: OCD is up. Yes, there is pig, poi, and sometimes the band will switch from generic tropical music to 60's beach movie music, or maybe reggae, or Raffi. They're unpredictable like that.

The luau takes place during a long break in the rain that fh_weather is reporting. Yes, I'm modding the weather. Admin privilege.]

"That's good by the way," he told her. "It means you're interesting, complex, deep...." Each descriptive word was accompanied with a gentle tug on a pig tail. "Okay yeah, maybe, these are too much of a temptation."

"Stop," she swatted his hand away, amused, "it could just mean I'm a space case. And you're just as interesting--you just don't have hair to pull."

Dean looked at her for a moment, then leaned over and offered his hair, short as it was, to her.

"I'd offer to grow it out but I look horrible in long hair."

He thought for a minute then said, "Well, I could tell you how I think that skirt is much better than a grass skirt because it's a lot shorter..."

She blushed and rushed to explain, "It's Buffy's. Er, my Buffy's, not the one here. But Buffy's still short, so her skirts are really mini."

"This isn't really what I would call a drawback," Dean assured her. "You've got great legs."

Which she immediately folded under her, still not completely comfortable. "Thanks. And I have no idea what your legs look like, since you're always wearing pants."

Dawn eventually sat up. "So, are you anti-skirts in general, or just anti-miniskirts? Because I bet you'd look hot in a kilt."
