Luau, The Main Campfire, Friday evening

The main campfire had been turned into a tropical paradise... without the tropics. There were leis and grass skirts to wear, tropical music playing, a buffet table, and the infamous Limbo Stick of Destiny, an artifact brought back to America from World War II. Noody knows what happens when a person wins a limbo competition involving the Limbo Stick of Destiny, but several experts on the subject suggest that "absolutely nothing happens except maybe you win a little trophy."

It was party time at the Fandom High Summer Camp.

[OOC: OCD is up. Yes, there is pig, poi, and sometimes the band will switch from generic tropical music to 60's beach movie music, or maybe reggae, or Raffi. They're unpredictable like that.

The luau takes place during a long break in the rain that [livejournal.com profile] fh_weather is reporting. Yes, I'm modding the weather. Admin privilege.]

"Oh cool!" Willow said. "I can't do that. Telekinsesis a little, but not teleportation. Though? Now? A spell for me to try researching."

Paige grinned, "me too, the telekinesis I mean, but that's connected to my orbing I think, I inherited it from from my father. But if you ever want a hand researching stuff I'm not too bad with the book stuff, or if you ever want someone to practise with." she offered realising she'd just admitted she liked researching things, which she did, because she realised now how important it was, the thing with Angel had taught her that.

"I love research too!" Willow said. Then, as though this was something to brag about, added, "I got to spent all last weekend helping Giles with his books."

Yeah she wasn't that into research!

"Sounds more productive than what I got up to, which was pretty much nothing. Did you find anything interesting?" she asked genuinely interested.

"Sadly no, he hid all the good stuff," Willow pouted. "Still, it was sort of like being in a library. I got to organize."

Paige frowned a little at the part about hiding stuff. "That's no good is it? The library here probably has some pretty harmless magic books to look at, I bet we'd need permission to look at the cool stuff." she said clearly a little annoyed by that.

"Special Collections," Willow confirmed. "You need a pass. Plus you have to deal with a genie who's really rude."

Paige raised an eyebrow, "a genie, huh, that's a new one on me." she admitted.

((and I must flee to bed, fade?))

"Me too," Willow agreed.
