Luau, The Main Campfire, Friday evening

The main campfire had been turned into a tropical paradise... without the tropics. There were leis and grass skirts to wear, tropical music playing, a buffet table, and the infamous Limbo Stick of Destiny, an artifact brought back to America from World War II. Noody knows what happens when a person wins a limbo competition involving the Limbo Stick of Destiny, but several experts on the subject suggest that "absolutely nothing happens except maybe you win a little trophy."

It was party time at the Fandom High Summer Camp.

[OOC: OCD is up. Yes, there is pig, poi, and sometimes the band will switch from generic tropical music to 60's beach movie music, or maybe reggae, or Raffi. They're unpredictable like that.

The luau takes place during a long break in the rain that

Phoebe shows up wearing a tiny tropical skirt and a bikini top and drops down to sit next to her sister.

"Hey, Pheebs. Feels like it's been ages since we talked," Piper said. "Are you okay? I heard some stuff on the radio that caused some concern..."

"John had a nightmare and attacked. Lana and Maia got hurt."

Phoebe might have been trying to hide something.

Piper was definitely alarmed. "Are they gonna be okay?"

Phoebe nodded. "Lana has a concussion and I think Maia may have one, too. He attacked Cole... and then thought he was going to protect me from a cyborg!Cole."

"I'm glad you didn't get hurt," Piper said, relieved. Then she blinked. "Wait, cyborg?"

Phoebe nodded. "Yeah... cyborg."

"Huh. Well, I guess it could have been a lot worse." Piper instinctivly hugged her sister protectively.

Phoebe hugged her back, feeling safe with her sister.

"Piper... you can talk to me about anything, right?" Phoebe did sound sad.

Piper gave Phoebe a concerned look. "Of course I can. Where is this coming from?"

Phoebe looked at Piper.

"Appparently Cole doesn't think he can."

Piper frowned. "Why do you think that?"

Phoebe sighed and her eyes may have been a bit damp.

"There have been things bothering him... a few things and I can feel that they are, yet everytime I ask him what's weong or to talk to me, he says he's fine."

"Maybe he just needs time to deal with whatever it is he might be going through. Then he might be ready to talk about it," Piper said, trying to be reassuring. She wasn't sure she was successful.

"I hope so," Phoebe said, looking into the fire. "I just wished he would trust me."

"Just because he doesn't talk to you right now, that doesn't mean he doesn't trust you." Piper gave her sister a sympathetic look. "I bet he'll talk to you eventually."

Phoebe looked at Piper.

"What do you think his reaction would be if I was doing that? Shutting things away from him. Not talking to him?"

Piper sighed. "He probably wouldn't like it very much."

"I don't know what to do, Piper."

"Why don't you just talk to him again, tell him about your concerns," Piper suggested.

This was why she had the best big sister in the world.

"What if he shuts me out again?"

She sighed. "Guys are confusing as all hell."

"Just keep telling him how you feel," Piper replied, not sure what else she could say.

She nodded in complete agreement. "Yes, they are."

Phoebe hugged her sister again.

"I think I'm going to go back to our cabin," she said softly. "I'm exhausted."

"That's probably a good idea," Piper agreed. "Get some sleep. Maybe things will be more clear in the morning."

"Thanks, Piper."
