Luau, The Main Campfire, Friday evening

The main campfire had been turned into a tropical paradise... without the tropics. There were leis and grass skirts to wear, tropical music playing, a buffet table, and the infamous Limbo Stick of Destiny, an artifact brought back to America from World War II. Noody knows what happens when a person wins a limbo competition involving the Limbo Stick of Destiny, but several experts on the subject suggest that "absolutely nothing happens except maybe you win a little trophy."

It was party time at the Fandom High Summer Camp.

[OOC: OCD is up. Yes, there is pig, poi, and sometimes the band will switch from generic tropical music to 60's beach movie music, or maybe reggae, or Raffi. They're unpredictable like that.

The luau takes place during a long break in the rain that fh_weather is reporting. Yes, I'm modding the weather. Admin privilege.]

"He's fine with us borrowing a canoe one day next week," she smiled. "We just have to promise to be careful and wear our PFDs. So would you like to go canoeing one day?"

"You have to ask?" Greg smiled. "Of course. What's a PFD?"

"Just checking. You could have changed your mind or something," she teased. "A PFD is a personal floatation device. A life jacket. They're bulky and uncomfortable but Jarod insists we were them. And while in theory I know rescue breathing, I really wouldn't want to put it to practice if we can avoid it."

"Oh yes," she smirked. "A must-have fashion accesory for the summer season. What day would you like to go? I'm workshop free on Monday and Thursdays. How about you?"

"Either of those works," Greg grinned. "I only have workshops on Tuesday and Wednesday. So...Monday, maybe?"

"I'm wearing my bathing suit, just in case. It's easier to dry off that way." Isabel looked thoughtful for a minute. "You should wear your suit to. And I'll get us some lunch if you don't mind going out early. We can make a day of it. Stop and swim, get some sun. Maybe?"
