Luau, The Main Campfire, Friday evening

The main campfire had been turned into a tropical paradise... without the tropics. There were leis and grass skirts to wear, tropical music playing, a buffet table, and the infamous Limbo Stick of Destiny, an artifact brought back to America from World War II. Noody knows what happens when a person wins a limbo competition involving the Limbo Stick of Destiny, but several experts on the subject suggest that "absolutely nothing happens except maybe you win a little trophy."

It was party time at the Fandom High Summer Camp.

[OOC: OCD is up. Yes, there is pig, poi, and sometimes the band will switch from generic tropical music to 60's beach movie music, or maybe reggae, or Raffi. They're unpredictable like that.

The luau takes place during a long break in the rain that

Isabel rolled her eyes. "Don't mention creepy guy. Did you know he's going to be coaching the basketball team? Which means he'll be near the cheerleaders. He hit on me on the way to the Prom," she said, obviously still disgusted at the thought. "I want to start a pool on how long it'll take him to leer at Buffy or Molly and for them to put him through the wall."

"Eewwww." Parker looked revolted. "He's never hit on me, but he knows I'm with Jarod. Who puts up with him, and saved his life once. Now I'm wishing he'd hurt him a bit more." She grinned. "I want in on that pool, the second it gets started."

"I will be very sure to count you in," Isabel laughed. "Because it's pretty much a given that he's going to piss someone off. Greg volunteered to throw a basketball at his head for me."

"I am so getting pictures of that."

"And we can feature them prominently at whatever end of summer festivities we have," Isabel agreed. "Speaking of pictures, I wonder if anyone got some of the Stickbugs and their new cabinmates."

Parker grinned widely, then snapped her fingers. "Knew I forgot something when I was over there last night. Although I'm sure someone has. What do you think of the Troll Dolls from Huggydom? Not that you'd know how they got into their cabin, of course."

"I thought they were adorable. Particularly the one that was hanging onto Greg's leg when he stopped by to visit yesterday afternoon." Isabel tried, and failed to look innocent. "I wouldn't have a clue about where they came from."

Parker snickered. "Peter was on the ceiling all evening to get away from them. Did you know about that? And English seemed to have developed Stockholm Syndrome and gotten fond of his. Whoever thought that up was an inspired genius."

Isabel snickered. "That I did not know. But I find it highly amusing. And it was genius. Definitely the work of smart, knowledgeable people."

"Pass my amusement along the grapevine. Eventually, whoever is responsible will hear about it." Parker grinned, shaking her head. "So I met Cedric. He's cool. Have you talked to him yet?"

Isabel only grinned. "I have, several times as a matter of fact. He's really nice. And cute."

"As the only new person Jack is seeing, I had to check him out. I like him. More mellow than Jack, but hey, like that's hard." Parker shrugged, and took another sip of her drink. "And yesss, very very pretty. I'm looking forward to vicariously new-dating through Jack at this point."

"I was thinking the same thing. The radio certainly mentions them often enough." Isabel tipped her coconut towards Parker. "Here's to the pretty. But he is nice. And I've set a plan in motion. I have to see if it works out."

"Yay, pretty. God, I sound like Jaye. Not that she's wrong." Parker tapped her coconut against Isabel's. "Ooo. Plan? Care to share, or will you just give me warning so I can witness it?"

"It's not a devious plan," she said. "It's just that Cedric mentioned a few things he misses from home. I think I know a way to get hold of them. If I do, I think I'll give them to Jack to give to him."

Parker snickered. "Isabel, you devious thing. Nice goin'."

"Not devious!" she protested. The laughed. "Okay, maybe some."
