Luau, The Main Campfire, Friday evening

The main campfire had been turned into a tropical paradise... without the tropics. There were leis and grass skirts to wear, tropical music playing, a buffet table, and the infamous Limbo Stick of Destiny, an artifact brought back to America from World War II. Noody knows what happens when a person wins a limbo competition involving the Limbo Stick of Destiny, but several experts on the subject suggest that "absolutely nothing happens except maybe you win a little trophy."

It was party time at the Fandom High Summer Camp.

[OOC: OCD is up. Yes, there is pig, poi, and sometimes the band will switch from generic tropical music to 60's beach movie music, or maybe reggae, or Raffi. They're unpredictable like that.

The luau takes place during a long break in the rain that

"I believe so," he says. "It's a rather large class...which doesn't surprise me given the subject matter."

She laughs a little at that, "yeah it's definitely one of the more interesting classes I've taken since I came here and I learnt Cat my first semester. So what'd ya get given?" she asks.

"I received ties," he tells her. "Something I've yet to figure out what to do with."

Okay now that was something Paige could have worked with, a zip up thong, not so much.

"The teacher obviously likes you more than me, first I get partnered with a guy obsessed with breasts and whipped cream then I get given...well something that I'm pretty sure was a mistake actually." she says thoughtfully.

"Anyway how are you liking it here?" she asks

"I'm enjoying myself," he says. "Very much so. It's different, of course, but it's a good different."

"I'd be worried if this place was the same as your last school," she told him, "the thought another place could be this weird well..." she shuddered slightly at the thought, although she was vaguely aware where she was from was hardly normal.

"So where were you before if you don't mind me asking."

"England," he says. "Across the ocean and far, far away."

Paige smirks at how he puts it, "you make it sound like something from a fairy tale, but you're from now right? I mean well this century at least?" she asks because in Fandom it's a fair question.

"Yes, I'm from the present," he says. "Here and now. And yourself?"

"Yeah, San Francisco, present day, so I've not come nearly as for as you have although I do a theory that this place is outside of time and space, so maybe I did." she replies thoughtfully.

"You've been here long then? In this school, I mean."

"Since the beginning of the school year, I'm kinda an old hand really, hence me having theories about it, but seriously how else do you explain Geoff Chaucer and people from the future all living in the same town?"

"Magic?" Cedric shrugs. "From what I hear, magic's quite prevalent in this town."

"Well yeah I guess, but that'd have to be some pretty powerful magic wouldn't it?" she replies, "and yeah there are quite a few witches and wizards here, there's me for one."

"You're a witch?" Cedric nods in consideration.

"Yeah, I only found out a while ago, when I came here actually, I didn't even know I had powers until about a year ago." she explains.

"So, you're powers are still developing?"

She shrugs, "I'm not sure really, I mean my control over them isn't all that great, and I know my sisters powers developed over time, so maybe I'll get something new, why?"

"Oh, no reason," he says, waving a hand. "Just curious. I haven't met many other witches that haven't come from where I've come from."

"You're a wizard then?" she asked, "cool, so are you the wand carrying kind or the innate magic kind?"

"Wizard and I use a wand," he says. "I'm sure I'll learn how to do wand-less magic but, right now, using a wand is what I do."

"That sounds pretty cool, I've not really cast many spells yet, and the ones I did went a little wonky. So have you always known you were a wizard then?" she asks

"I guess you could say that," he says. "I come from a wizarding family so I knew I was, at the very least, be educated as they were."

"My family's magic too, only I didn't know, I was adopted, I found out I was a witch and that I sisters when I came here. It was a little wierd."
