Luau, The Main Campfire, Friday evening

The main campfire had been turned into a tropical paradise... without the tropics. There were leis and grass skirts to wear, tropical music playing, a buffet table, and the infamous Limbo Stick of Destiny, an artifact brought back to America from World War II. Noody knows what happens when a person wins a limbo competition involving the Limbo Stick of Destiny, but several experts on the subject suggest that "absolutely nothing happens except maybe you win a little trophy."

It was party time at the Fandom High Summer Camp.

[OOC: OCD is up. Yes, there is pig, poi, and sometimes the band will switch from generic tropical music to 60's beach movie music, or maybe reggae, or Raffi. They're unpredictable like that.

The luau takes place during a long break in the rain that

"She understood my reasons for keeping quiet," Isabel replied. "I have to admit it was nice when she finally knew. It meant I could ask her all the questions I wanted to ask her since the day we'd met."

"So she's pretty understanding and patient type of person, huh?" Jamie asked. "She seems really nice."

"She's Aeryn," Isabel said. "She's patient and understanding to a point. But she doesn't appreciate idiots."

"Well who does?" Jamie says with a laugh. "She's too smart for that. Plus there's that whole warrior thing she has going on. She doesn't have time for that kind of stuff."

"Most people's first reaction wouldn't be to shoot them though," Isabel said, mostly seriously. "Don't think she didn't consider it the other morning."

"She finds time occasionally. We had a good laugh at John and Greg trying out for cheerleading the other day."

Jamie chuckles at that. "Yeah, they were pretty funny. How long have John and Aeryn been a thing?"

"Since long before I got here in January," Isabel replied. "You'd have to ask Rory or Cam to tell you exactly how long."

"Huh," Jamie said with a little frown. "That long huh?"

"That long," she nodded. "Why do you ask?"

"Just curious," Jamie said with a shrug. "From what I hear you and Greg had a date the other night. How did that go?"

Isabel smiled, "It went very well. What about you? Have you met anyone you might be interested in?"

Jamie frowns slightly. "Nope. Haven't had good luck in that category yet."

"That's too bad. I would have thought there would have been somebody in with all the new people."

"Probably better this way," Jamie mused. "Where I come from relationships tend to either end badly or very strangely."

"That's not a good attitude," Isabel said with a frown. "It's Fandom. Things are different here. It's just a matter of finding the right person."

"Sure. You say that now," Jamie said rolling his eyes. "You know how many people I've known who have died or apparently died and then came back later to find out that they're now seeing either their best friend or worst enemy?"

Isabel blinked. "Ummm...No..."

"At least a dozen. Really... people should be expecting it by now."
