Luau, The Main Campfire, Friday evening

The main campfire had been turned into a tropical paradise... without the tropics. There were leis and grass skirts to wear, tropical music playing, a buffet table, and the infamous Limbo Stick of Destiny, an artifact brought back to America from World War II. Noody knows what happens when a person wins a limbo competition involving the Limbo Stick of Destiny, but several experts on the subject suggest that "absolutely nothing happens except maybe you win a little trophy."

It was party time at the Fandom High Summer Camp.

[OOC: OCD is up. Yes, there is pig, poi, and sometimes the band will switch from generic tropical music to 60's beach movie music, or maybe reggae, or Raffi. They're unpredictable like that.

The luau takes place during a long break in the rain that [livejournal.com profile] fh_weather is reporting. Yes, I'm modding the weather. Admin privilege.]

But would Professor Dream approve of the perverseness of the story? Blair's hands weaved a tale of nc-17 betrayal as the lobster abandons his love and satisfys his yearnings with a bowl of melted butter.

Pippi stifles something that could either be a laugh or a sob... possibly both.

Since she can only imagine the broken Heart (of Romane) the salad bar will feel when it discovers the betrayal.

And she also pictures Dream folding his arm and watching with a raised eyebrow, possibly saying something to the effect of, "Mr. Sandberg, that is hardly an appropriate entertainment for mixed company." With a dower face that belies just how funny he finds it all.

Blair stopped mid-gesture, the climatic fight between the lobster and hot rolls never to be finished.

"Pippi? You stopped dancing."

"Oh yeah huh?"

Pippi started dancing again.

Blair shrugged and started dancing too, but minus the lobster pinching.

Which was probably for the best.
