Luau, The Main Campfire, Friday evening

The main campfire had been turned into a tropical paradise... without the tropics. There were leis and grass skirts to wear, tropical music playing, a buffet table, and the infamous Limbo Stick of Destiny, an artifact brought back to America from World War II. Noody knows what happens when a person wins a limbo competition involving the Limbo Stick of Destiny, but several experts on the subject suggest that "absolutely nothing happens except maybe you win a little trophy."

It was party time at the Fandom High Summer Camp.

[OOC: OCD is up. Yes, there is pig, poi, and sometimes the band will switch from generic tropical music to 60's beach movie music, or maybe reggae, or Raffi. They're unpredictable like that.

The luau takes place during a long break in the rain that [livejournal.com profile] fh_weather is reporting. Yes, I'm modding the weather. Admin privilege.]

"Been trying to get the courage up to ask a girl out," Joxer said. "I did it before, but that got all interrupted by my accident. Now I'm not sure if I should even try."

"Any girl in particular?"

"Willow?" Joxer said. "But this talking box thing at night... it keeps saying things about Willow and Peter, so I think that ship may have already embarked on its raiding spree."

"You may be right on that Jox," Jamie said with a sympathetic look. "Do you have a backup in mind?"

Joxer shrugs. "There's a lot of nice girls here," he said. "I'm just afraid I might be too slow to catch any of them before they're all taken."

"It's not a race, but you won't catch anyone just sitting here talking to me. You need to get out there. Ask some girl to dance."

Joxer smirked and looked over at Jamie. "Thanks. Don't ever let me feel sorry for myself, okay? It doesn't suit me."
