Luau, The Main Campfire, Friday evening

The main campfire had been turned into a tropical paradise... without the tropics. There were leis and grass skirts to wear, tropical music playing, a buffet table, and the infamous Limbo Stick of Destiny, an artifact brought back to America from World War II. Noody knows what happens when a person wins a limbo competition involving the Limbo Stick of Destiny, but several experts on the subject suggest that "absolutely nothing happens except maybe you win a little trophy."

It was party time at the Fandom High Summer Camp.

[OOC: OCD is up. Yes, there is pig, poi, and sometimes the band will switch from generic tropical music to 60's beach movie music, or maybe reggae, or Raffi. They're unpredictable like that.

The luau takes place during a long break in the rain that fh_weather is reporting. Yes, I'm modding the weather. Admin privilege.]

"Islands on the other side of the world. Much more tropical, and where all this--" Parker gestured to the luau, "Originates from. What, you don't have any half-clad party islands at home?"

Alanna considered this. "Yeah, we do. But I don't visit until my daughter is there spy-master It's just a tad far and the people who rule it are a bit crazy."

"Well, here? It's very far, and they're very laid-back. Thus, luau. I have no idea what the word means. Just that you end up dancing by fires with barbeque."
