Summer Shenanigans- The park, Wednesday afternoon

Any rain in the forecast seemed to be holding off while the events in the park were happening, which was lucky! The last thing anyone wanted was to do this in the rain. Not because it would make the event harder but because people might not come out and watch.

It was Jaina starting things off again, bullhorn in hand not because she needed it but because she liked it.

She was standing in the middle of a large tape circle, where several differently colored bins were situated in evenly spaced spots at the edge. Above Jaina was a good number of soccer balls, hanging in the air, levitated by the Force. It wasn't her showing off but there was really no easy way to hang things from air, you know?

"No teams today, guys!" she announced through the bullhorn. "It's going to be simple: the balls will drop, and you have to collect as many as you can and put them in your bin until there are no balls left. You can't use powers and you can't take anything from someone else's bin. if a ball goes out of bounds, it's not in play anymore. It's every person for themselves for three rounds."

And she read out this week's names.

You know, Eleanor might have been suspicious about how straight-forward and simple and not crazy this all was this week, but when she got her shirt? She was fully distracted and locked in, because this was absolutely adorable, and, what was even more, she knew Kamala was going to love it, so no matter what twist might be awaiting them, it was going to be so completely worth it.

And without a girlfriend who was clearly way too easily impressed, Luma was left being a little suspicious about today's game and wondering if there was something more to it that she was missing due to being...well, how she was. But catching balls and collecting them should be something pretty easy, right? Maybe even something she could be good at.

And she supposed grey really was an unfortunate, drab, and unflattering color on her, too, but it was still not nearly as bad as it could be in that area, either.
