Anakin was still not a cat! And he had ~~stolen~~ requisitioned the slip 'n slides from Paintball yesterday and set them up in roughly a triangle shape.

With bases between them. Because Anakin also still didn't know how baseball worked.

The bad news? The slip 'n slides were covered in baby oil and mudslide cocktail mix (because his order for mud had been misinterpreted. Watch out for the squirrels who'd definitely been licking the slip 'n slides.)

The good news? Your teams are in costumes made to protect you as you slide!

Well. Sort of. Anakin had gotten into the Japanese mascots again.

"Today we shall be playing slip 'n slide kickball!" Anakin told the unfortunates caught in the park this morning. "Listen for your names!"

No, we have no official diagnosis about what Anakin's problem is.

[OOC: There is no way to make the chaos of what this game would look like OCD-able. Ping your characters in as either fielding or kicking and other characters can ping back as either supportive teammates or trash-talking opposition. Fall over! Troubleshoot how a mascot outfit without arms can either throw the kickball or catch them! Fall over some more! The entire intention of this is interaction and silliness. Team Watermelon wins, but that does not actually matter. Have fun!]

The mental image of how ridiculous this would look fills me with joy.

"Licking the slip and slides" sounds like a euphemism we should all be working into our lexicons.

Isabela's watermelons were in serious danger of getting crushed in this thing, Anakin. And not in the fun way.

"...What have I done," Stark muttered.

"I think no one would be surprised if he were to be murdered," Flint muttered darkly. It was slightly less menacing coming from inside a perky watermelon king.

"This is just wrong," Steve said, jumping into his tights.

Steve had fallen over three times on the damn slip 'n slides as he made his way vaguely short-stoppish, halfway between the second and third bases.

Steve hated everything.

"Where did he even get these?"

Vi, asking the important questions.

"My best guess is he clicked on a Facebook ad and is too embarrassed to admit to it," Steve said.

"He might be," Stark said. "A little."

Although really, Anakin, you should just be surprised it took this long.

"You think he's got enough shame to be embarrassed?"

Stark had hands on his suit. They did not help much. He was just going to try and lob the ball in the general direction of whoever might be trying to kick.

While thinking dark thoughts about Anakin. Very dark ones.

Flint's costume snickered. "He cannot be that naive. Many people wish me dead and I am well aware of it."

"He's not wearing this thing," Steve said. "I think he still has some shame."

She defended you, Anakin. Rey defended you.

"This looks like a nightmare."

She had to wear a nightmare. Cool.

"Ohhhhh," Remy said, examining the head. "Gambit does not like that. I'm pretty sure the X-Men have had to save the world from that a time or two."

At least it didn't have a prehensile tongue.

Rey did not have arms. He hadn't specified not using powers though, so at least she could push the ball in a direction if it came near her.

It did not prevent falling over.

"I'm not certain I understand," Henry said, frowning. "I mean, the kicking and the ball part, that much is obvious. The rest of it, though, I'm a bit lost on, if I have to be honest."

Who was he talking to? Possibly himself.

"Anyone mind if this head becomes a really big bomb?" Remy asked. "I could charge it and we can kick it at Skywalker."

You know. In the name of shenanigans.

You'd think Quinn would have learned her lesson about avoiding the park on Wednesdays. But she kept forgetting.

"Fuck that," she said, looking at the head. "That's worse than clowns."

That was an extremely high bar, Anakin. What have you done?
