GOB stood up on stage and began to speak when the group was assembled. "Okay, kids, last week you picked out your entrance music. So today, we're going to start with you taking the stage to it and introducing yourself. You might be wondering why you didn't you introduce yourself last week. That's because last week you were nobody. This week, you have entrance music. That gives you the potential to be somebody."

"Give your music selections to Mr. Tino over there and prepare to make a grand entrance. Your entrance is what makes you a star. When you come on stage, you have to own the stage. Dance moves, quick illusions, taking your pants off, whatever you have to do to get the audience under your thrall." Tino whispered something to GOB. "Good call, Tino. Don't take your pants off during a school-sponsored workshop. Own the stage without losing any clothing. And if you can own the stage successfully, the audience is your whore. So have the band play your music, try to make us your whore, and tell us a little about yourself."

"When we're all done with that, we're going to focus on improv comedy. You'll pair up with whoever, get up there, and try to make me laugh. If I laugh, you'll get a free drink from the bar!" Tino leaned over and whispered something. "Really? Fine. Mr. Tino wants me to let you know that it should be something non-alcoholic. Mr. Tino here says that if I give you free booze, the school might have problems with that. Personally, I think he's being a jerk, but I like you nobodies enough that I'm not going to risk getting pulled from the class."

"Okay, let me go and introduce myself, then you can follow suit."

[OOC: OCD ~~coming up~~ is up. Will reply throughout the day at work.]

Jamie takes the stage with Nadia. "Hi everyone. Before we begin our act I'd like to introduce my partner-in-crime/roomie. This is Nadia Santos. She's from Argentina and has more screwed up family issues than you can imagine. She has a boyfriend who likes to make out with other guys and she carries a mallet. So don't tick her off."

Nadia raised her eyebrows. "And this is Jamie Madrox, the old man trapped in a teenaged body. He blames everything that's wrong with his life on growing up on a farm in Kansas, but if you ask him, he'll tell you he's from New York. His favorite hobbies are dodging my mallet and playing with himself. He's very good at the latter. Not so much with the former. He wishes he had a boyfriend who likes to make out with other guys and he has a pathological fear of small, long eared rodents."

Jamie coughs. "Okay... that's stretching the truth a tad there."

"Stretching the truth? So if we were to be attacked by weetiny bunnies right now, you'd be perfectly calm?"

Jamie shivered a little at that. "No! I meant the other thing!"

Nadia rolled her eyes and sighed. "Okay, fine, maybe you don't blame everything on growing up in Kansas. But you use it a lot."

Jamie scowled. "I DON'T LIKE GUYS!"

"It's okay, Jamie, we're all friends here. You don't have to lie, any more."

Jamie flailed. "No! I'm not gay! You're just mad because your boyfriend made lip contact with another guy mutant!"

"And that guy mutant would be you. Are you insulting my boyfriend's lip touching ability?"

"Yes!"

*flails*

"No!"

*flails*

"There's no good way to answer that question! And I'm still not gay!"

Nadia patted Jamie on the shoulder sympathetically. "Okay, Jamie," she said in a placating tone. "We believe you,"

"Really?"

"No."

"Not. Gay."

"Okay. . . ."

Suddenly the duplicate of Jamie with the sock puppet hops onto stage and does a little softshoe routine.

"Do not be fooled! The boy is really into tube socks! Mwahahahaha!" cackled the sock puppet as the crazed Jamie runs away.

Original Jamie? He's facepalmin of course.

Nadia smirked like a smirking thing that smirks. "Do I want to know how the sock knows that?"

"What? You're going to believe... that?"

"Why shouldn't I? Socks are very trustworthy. ~~like Precious Roy. He'd never steer me wrong. . . .~~"

"Okay... you do realize that was just a wacky version of me making the sock talk. I mean his lips were moving and everything."

"So now I'm not supposed to believe what you say?"

"That was just a wacky side of me that was-"

The version of Jamie with the bad gold jewelry hops on the stage and grabs the microphone out of Jamie's hand.

"Listen up fools! Mama didn't raise no dope! Stay in school! Stay away from Murduck and his crazy socks!"

He hands Jamie back the microphone and struts offstage.

Jamie facepalmed again. "Okay... I think my duplicates are just way into character here."

"This is what happens when you lie to yourself and deny who you really are."
