Photography Workshop - Journalism Classroom [5/31]

Veronica was waiting in the front of the journalism classroom for all of her students. She had come in early and prepped the darkroom.

Once everyone had arrived and was seated, she smiled.

"Good morning guys. There is coffee, but if you want some, you need to have it now, because there will be no food or drink allowed in the dark room."

She passed out and went over a handout detailing the developing process, along with the safety rules she expected them to follow in the darkroom.

"Most importantly," she concluded. "If you have any questions related to the film developing process, do not hesitate to ask."

"Are you telling me you didn't pull a background check on your students?" Cameron asked on the same tone. "You're slipping, Mars."

"Wouldn't have mattered if I did, Mitchell," Veronica retorted, her tone still hushed and obviously playful. "I couldn't have told the administration not to put someone in my class because of that without giving myself away."

He bit his lip to not start laughing as she called him Mitchell because for some reason that was just wrong. "No, but you're flying blind now. I wouldn't have taken you for the 'ignorance is bliss' type."

"I never fly blind," Veronica said. "I just know what I can and can't talk about in public," she added with a grin.

"Sneaky," he said with a soft chuckle. "So what would it take for you to share your information?"

"I can always be bribed with coffee," Veronica said in a very serious tone.

"Ah. Caffeine, the Achilles heel of Fandom," Cameron nodded, way too amused to keep a serious tone for long. "Are you sure you can risk having suck connections with someone from the Secret Banana Society? They might think you're trying to join us. Or worse, that I'm trying to bribe you for better grades."

"I like to live on the edge," Veronica said lightly.

"Maybe we should hire you for our organisation then," he smirked. "It makes for an interesting living."

"I don't know, I'm really thinking I found my calling as a teacher," Veronica said. "I think I'm ready to throw in the towel and give up my secret life of espionage."

Cameron tilted his head and seriously looked her up and down for a moment. "Uh huh. Sure. Live the quiet teacher life.I can see it."

Veronica nodded. "I'll get some glasses, wear my hair in a bun, toss all the jeans and polo shirts and replace them with smart skirts and blouses. The most exciting part of my week will be grocery shopping."

Cameron shook his head, laughing as he tried to imagine it. "Somehow I doubt it. You'd probably be more like the new Mrs Robinson."

"You think I'd be unethical enough to sleep with my students?" Veronica asked.

Whoops. Cameron quickly held up his hands. "No, I said like. I'm just saying that you'd have some students crushing on you," he said trying to sound innocent.

Veronica laughed and glanced around the room. "Oh, yes, that seems so very likely," she said.

Cameron looked around too. "Okay, bad crowd. Don't sell yourself short. I'm sure Archie will agree."

"And now you're calling me short?" Veronica asked teasingly. She stood straight to make the most of her 5'1" frame.

He shouldn't laugh. He really shouldn't. So he just straightened up to his full 6'0 height and raised an eyebrow. "I don't think I have to say anything."

"Good things come in small packages," Veronica recited in a sing-song voice, glaring up at Cam the whole time.

"I'm just going to agree before you fail," Cameron decided.
