Archery Workshop #2, 5/30, Danger Shop, Afternoon

The Danger Shop is set up like an outdoor archery field this week, with fifteen targets, fifteen bows, and fifteen quivers of arrows. The arrows, the students will find, are tipped with suction cups. Off to one side is Miho, lounging in a lawn chair with an umbrella. On the table next to it is the sign-in sheet. An incongruous freestanding blackboard is set up next to her, with the words Beginning Archery. Shoot the targets. Leave when you are done. written on it.

Miho gets up, takes up her own bow and a suction cup arrow, and demonstrates for the class by shooting at the first target in the line. Bullseye. Then she returns to her seat, picks up her glass of lemonade, and watches for any errors in form she'll need to correct.

"What?" Parker asked, looking from the bow to Alanna. "Too light, too heavy, too long, too short...?"

Alanna smiled. "The arrows." Her next shot almost hit the bulls-eye.

"You really want to give some of these people sharp things that go zing?" Parker aims, and fires, hitting the target, but well outside the bull's eye.

"Point." Alanna's next shot bounced off of the target, causing her to scowl.

"I'm going to ask Miho if we can come back and practice again later this week." Parker was psyching herself into this. She'd already avoided death once today, once more wasn't a big deal. "I need the time in here."

Alanna nodded. "I still prefer swords even though I've been using a bow since I was very wee."

Parker went to talk to Miho, and came back grinning. "Looook! Remote! (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/882207.html?thread=42563359#t42563359) We can come back tomorrow or later, and get in some more practice! Possibly with other backgrounds. Heh."
