Archery Workshop #2, 5/30, Danger Shop, Afternoon

The Danger Shop is set up like an outdoor archery field this week, with fifteen targets, fifteen bows, and fifteen quivers of arrows. The arrows, the students will find, are tipped with suction cups. Off to one side is Miho, lounging in a lawn chair with an umbrella. On the table next to it is the sign-in sheet. An incongruous freestanding blackboard is set up next to her, with the words Beginning Archery. Shoot the targets. Leave when you are done. written on it.

Miho gets up, takes up her own bow and a suction cup arrow, and demonstrates for the class by shooting at the first target in the line. Bullseye. Then she returns to her seat, picks up her glass of lemonade, and watches for any errors in form she'll need to correct.

Dawn rubbed at the sudden tightness in her breastbone. "Have you talked to her? You could give it another chance, or you could forget about it and just be friends."

"I'm thinking that the friends option might be the way to go. But I suppose I should talk to her about that first, huh?"

Sam smiled. "Maybe, yeah. You know, I'm really glad to have you as a helpful girl interpreter. I think I'd be kind of lost otherwise."

"Yeah, that's me," she chuckled weakly, "Dawn Summers, interpreter to all of boydom."

"Well, I don't know about the rest of boydom, but I know I certainly appreciate your efforts," Sam said, grinning.
