Archery Workshop #2, 5/30, Danger Shop, Afternoon

The Danger Shop is set up like an outdoor archery field this week, with fifteen targets, fifteen bows, and fifteen quivers of arrows. The arrows, the students will find, are tipped with suction cups. Off to one side is Miho, lounging in a lawn chair with an umbrella. On the table next to it is the sign-in sheet. An incongruous freestanding blackboard is set up next to her, with the words Beginning Archery. Shoot the targets. Leave when you are done. written on it.

Miho gets up, takes up her own bow and a suction cup arrow, and demonstrates for the class by shooting at the first target in the line. Bullseye. Then she returns to her seat, picks up her glass of lemonade, and watches for any errors in form she'll need to correct.

"I lost count after about four," Dean admitted. "It's not funny."

"Oh, but it so is," Sam replied, fully laughing now. He'd ask if it made the kissing any easier, but he's not really sure if he wants to bring that up.

"Boy scout," Dean muttered, giving the words the kind of inflection usually reserved for things such as 'scum of the earth' or 'icky thing that needs to be scraped off the bottom of my shoe'

"I may be a Boy Scout, but at least I can see straight this morning," Sam pointed out. "And I have very clear memories of the good parts of last night."

"Does that include kissing Saber-boy?"

"No," Sam said sharply. "I meant watching Jaye and Rory kiss, not kissing Anakin. And definitely not you kissing Alec either." He made a face of disgust similar to the one he'd made the night before. "I really hope Anakin remembers that he was drunk and doesn't try to kill me for that."

"You seemed to be getting right into it," Dean said with a grin. Poking Sammy always made him feel better. "At least I had the excuse I was drunk. Dude, you kissed a guy sober."

Sam hadn't spent the better part of the morning thinking about that, not at all. "Well, I didn't have much of a choice. It helped me convince Jaye that we're not going to do anything to her. And Anakin called me a chicken," he said, as though that explained away anything.

Dean thought it over. "Okay, you might have a point with the chicken," he admitted grudgingly.

"And I wasn't getting into it," Sam said defensively. "I was just fighting back. I mean, he used tongue and everything, I couldn't just stand there."

"So you had to use your tongue too," Dean pointed out rather gleefully, conveniently forgetting what his own tongue had been up to.

"...Possibly." Sam sighed and made another face. "It was a unique experience, and now I can tell Jaye that I never need to do it again, because I've done it once."

"There is that," Dean admitted. "Though somehow I don't think she'll take that as an answer."

"Yeah, I get that feeling too. Did you see how excited she and Rory got last night? And did you see someone taking pictures?"

"That would have been your cheerleading groupie over there," Dean said, nodding in Buffy's direction.

"Oh god," Sam said, grumbling. "You don't think she'll actually use them for anything, do you?"

"I don't know," Dean said with a careful shrug. "Maybe extortion to make you go out with her."

"Yes, because clearly Buffy wants me to go out with her," Sam said, rolling his eyes. "Maybe she'll just keep them for posterity, to look at on a cold, boykissy-less day."

"Yeah, we can just hope. Somehow I doubt we're going to get that lucky though."

"I'm just going to try to not think about it, because my imagination is probably wilder than anything Buffy would really do."

"Yeah, she doesn't strike me as overly blessed with imagination," Dean observed, shaking his head. "Hard to believe she's Dawn's sister. Or will be. Or... something."

Sam joined Dean in shaking his head. "I don't really understand how that works either. But yeah, it's hard to imagine them being related, aside from the fact that they look almost like they're from the same family." And apparently, both think he's cute, but he's not saying that part out loud.

Dean glanced over at the two girls in question. "I guess," he admitted. "Dawn's cuter though."

"Definitely cuter. And smarter. And a lot nicer," Sam agreed, following Dean's line of vision, but stopping himself before he said something he might regret later.
