Archery Workshop #2, 5/30, Danger Shop, Afternoon

The Danger Shop is set up like an outdoor archery field this week, with fifteen targets, fifteen bows, and fifteen quivers of arrows. The arrows, the students will find, are tipped with suction cups. Off to one side is Miho, lounging in a lawn chair with an umbrella. On the table next to it is the sign-in sheet. An incongruous freestanding blackboard is set up next to her, with the words Beginning Archery. Shoot the targets. Leave when you are done. written on it.

Miho gets up, takes up her own bow and a suction cup arrow, and demonstrates for the class by shooting at the first target in the line. Bullseye. Then she returns to her seat, picks up her glass of lemonade, and watches for any errors in form she'll need to correct.

Isabel had heard the radio. "Rough night?" she asked with a grin.

"The night wasn't the rough part," Dean said. "Just... kinda foggy. The morning was the rough part."

"No, I'm sure the night wasn't rough at all," Isabel chuckled. "They didn't have space vodka did they? Xander swears that that stuff will kill you." Isabel pulled an unopened bottle of water from her bag, held it in her hand for a minute until it was icy cold and then held it out to Dean. "Here, you probably need this more then me."

"I don't know," Dean said, frowning. "There might have been. I started out with beer, but it all gets a little fuzzy after Jaye started handing me shots."

He took the bottle of water from her with a very heartfelt, "You're a true angel of mercy."

"Where the shots before or after she convinced you to kiss Alec?" she asked with a grin.

"No problem. I actually had a drunken evening of my own last week. And while I managed to avoid the hangover, I still wanted to die the next morning," she explained. "So I have a little bit of sympathy."

"Before," Dean replied, opening the water and taking a long grateful drink. "And after."

He took another drink. "The problem with hangovers is that they just make you feel like you're dying but they don't actually kill you."

"Poor Dean," Isabel said sympathetically. "I'd offer to shoot you and put you out of your misery. But 1 - rubber tipped arrows won't work. And 2 - It's get me detention. I've already had detention once at this place. I'm not looking to do it again."

"Although speaking of repeating things, you guys might have to repeat the performance when Jack gets back." She grinned, "I know for a fact he will be extremely disappointed he missed it."

"Yeah, those 1 and 2 points are the reasons I haven't shot a particularly irritating cheerleader yet. Though mostly point one." Dean shuddered. "I'm pretty sure that was a one and only performance. Least on my part."

"She is particularly cheerful isn't she?" Isabel said, completly understanding how someone that perky could be incredibly annoying. It was like being at home around Maria when she was hyped on sugar. "You say that now. I bet with proper incentive you'd do it again."

Isabel laughed. "We'll have to see if we can come up with something then. It's not fair that only your cabin got to watch."

Parker managed a smile for Isabel despite events in between classes. "So. Greggie has soft lips. In case you were wondering."

"I don't know details," she laughed. "All I know is I'm supposed to dress comfortably in something I wouldn't mind getting dirty. So you'll have to ask me on Thursday."

Parker grinned. "Ooo. Surprises. Nice. Shows initiative. Okay, I can wait. But you're happy about this? You like him?"

"I'm happy. And I do." Isabel laughed, "We've talked a lot. And he brought me cookies with Tabasco. He's sweet."

"Cool." Parker grinned. "I hope it goes well, then. I like Greggie. I only threatened him a little tiny bit."
