"Wow, lotsa squirrels," John says, grinning. "I was gonna ask, really. Just, with the hair and the waking up half naked outside, it slipped my mind."

"It seems that the Meerkats decided to have fun with the Stinkbugs last night," Nadia told Walter. "John's mad because his hair isn't pink."

"That's very creative of the Meerkats. It seems that mammals trump insects any day."

"Boo." John gives them both a thumbs down. "This is amateur. Weak. We all just laughed it off and went back to our cabin."

"I know I laughed when I saw your hair."

"As did we all."

"Oh Nadia, my number one fan. Want an autograph?" John picks up a napkin and makes to sign his name with a flourish.

"Me first! I want to be the first on my block to say they met a bug that could sign its own name. Your mother or queen or whatever must be very proud."

Nadia looked John in the eye and said "I pine for you" very seriuosly.

Then she started giggling at Walter's comment.

"Aw, two squirrels in envy of a mighty stickbug!" John makes to sign his name to another napkin and smiles charmingly. "Yes, yes, no photographs please...at least, until my hair is normal again. Gah."

At which point it occured to Nadia that John's hair was blue . . . ish, at least. And blue was one of her scavenger hunt items for photography.

She pulled her camera out of her bag. "Oh, but surely you wouldn't disappoint your fans like that?" She lined up the shot. "Say cheese, stinkbug!"

"What?" John looks up, a scowl on his face. "Hey!"

And because Walter had yet to get a shot of John for his corkboard, he pulled out his own camera.

"Do bugs say cheese? Or just scritch scritch scritch?" He took a picture before John could respond. "Close enough and definitely going on the corkboard."

Pippi already has her camcorder from Documentary filmmaking out and is recording this.

John's caught between mortification and embarassment but tries to shrug it off with a grin.

To Nadia and Walter, he says, "You're both evil. So, perfect for each other!"

"Yes," said Nadia. "We are." She tilted her head. "I just need earth and leaves. Could you get someone else mad at you so they can turn you into something that would fit those?"

"Ah, you should've caught me while Rita Skeeter was still here. She'd fulfill that request immediately. Why not just take a picture of dirt for earth?"

"I'm sorry I missed that. Radio made it sound like fun." Walter said while waiting for the polaroid to develop.

"A picture of dirt is too obvious." Nadia put her camera away. "And dirt isn't very photogenic."

John taps his chin, thinking. "Swamp Thing?"

"A sand castle?"

"Mud pies!" exclaimed Walter, who might still be in a slightly dada headspace.

Nadia blinked. "Okay, I don't know what a swamp thing is, but I'm pretty sure I don't want to get close enough to photograph it. Sandcastles and, um, mud pies might work. . . ."

"Swamp Thing. Get a friend to roll in the mud and take a picture. Ta-da."

"You're my friend, aren't you, John?" Nadia batted her lashes at him. It could be a central theme, John posed as blue, earth, and leaves.
