The Great British Bakeoff! Only American! Wednesday, February 12, 2025

"Unfortunately, Tony had a board meeting he couldn't get out of this morning," Steve said, "so you only have me today."

"First I'll judge your marzipan ring...stacks." Thor wasn't here to help with pronunciation today, so Steve decided to just not try. "Then we'll get into some retro bakes."

Because Tony also wasn't there to stop him!

"Our Signature challenge will be a highly decorative Jello mold filled with your choice of sweet or savory items," Steve said, so earnest despite being so diabolical, "and our technical challenge is the Spam and Fruit Cocktail Party Loaf."

Steve, why.

"And your take-home assignment is to come up with your most creative Midwestern dessert salad! It'll be fun."

It'd be something, all right.

Kitty's unpronounceable marzipan thing didn't look perfect, but it tasted good.

"I maybe honed a lot of frustration into this," she explained.

Steven. This week.

"I can go places you don't want to hear about with that answer," she warned.

Nell had not done as well with the marzipan, unfortunately. Plus she'd been very distracted in the evening once Gladio came home, so it definitely wasn't her best work.

Nell blushed a red deeper than maraschino cherries and couldn't quite manage to meet Steve's eyes, even as she laughed a little nervously. "He, well... we... last night, um..."

She waved her hands around hopelessly. "I had trouble focusing."

Would that do?
