"Welcome to Karate, everyone." Tommy says, looking around at the class. "I'm Doctor Oliver, but you can call me Dr. O if you want," he may have rolled his eyes a little.

"This workshop is essentially a survey course of many different styles of karate that have been developed. Each has their benefits and their drawbacks, of course. Hopefully you'll find a style that works for you as a result of this course.

While we're training in here, this gym isn't just a gym. It's a dojo. As such, I expect you all to pay attention to the rules of the dojo:

Seek perfection of character
Be faithful
Endeavour to excel
Respect others
Refrain from violent behaviour

Now, to start things off- I know we have a mix of different skill levels. For those of you who are more advanced, could you provide a short demonstration? For those of you who are just starting out, give this a try." He says, demonstrating the steps slowly.

[ooc: annnnd, i'm likely going to be away from the computer till about 3:30 pacific time. so interaction with tommy will happen after that. don't let that stop you, though!]

"The badgers or the rocks?"

"The entire scene. I don't know how Dr. Elliot set it up, but there were different scenes inside a room. We could enter them and interact, but...it was very strange."

"Like a virtual reality video game?" Dean asked. "That's cool!"

"If you say so," Peter said with a grin. Changing the topic to one that he might not understand but could at least converse about, he asked, "so how's Dawn? Err, other than the ducks..."

"Dawn's great," Dean said, the now familiar goofy grin making an appearance. "Though you might want to avoid her and her cabinmates for a while."

"I am most definitely already working on that assumption. Though on the other hand, I expect revenge will come when it will, and there's not much I can do about it. So I'd rather it come and be over with," he paused. "If that makes any sense."

Dean grinned knowingly. "You want to be able to stop looking over your shoulder waiting for the axe to fall."

"That's it precisely," Peter laughed. "But as long as they get their satisfaction, all shall be well."

Dean nodded and clapped Peter on the shoulder. "I promise to make sure your ghost doesn't haunt the cabins if things don't end up well."

Peter bowed mockingly to Dean, "and I appreciate that act of mercy more than I can say. But apparently there's quite a bit of paperwork involved in killing someone here at Fandom so I doubt that will come into play."

"Depends on how much duck shit they had to clean up I suppose."

"Hmph," Peter considered that line of thought. "It can't have been too much. They got them out pretty quickly. What about your cabin? You have like two girls in it right? Are they terrified or enjoying it?"

"Three girls -- the other Sam, D'anna and Jaye. And enjoying doesn't properly describe the air of... smugness they all seem to have."

"So they're feeling especially territorial about all of you? I've only met D'anna, but if Jaye's anything like she is on the radio... Do you feel objectified yet?"

Dean grinned. "You say that like it's a bad thing."
