Archery Workshop #1, 5/23, Danger Shop, Afternoon

As the students entered the Danger Shop, set up like a standard classroom for today, they were greeted by a diminutive, black-and-white Japanese girl in a silk robe, perched on a corner of the teacher's desk munching on a chocolate chip cookie. Next to her were a stack of handouts, a sign-in sheet, and a tray of assorted cookies from Jeff, God of Biscuits.

Written on the board behind the desk was, Sign in. Take a handout and a cookie. Direct any questions to the instructor. Behave. Or else.

Miho studied her students with a critical eye, trying to determine which of them were most likely to shoot one of their classmates by accident or try to take more than one cookie.

"No I have not. So this should be fun," Isabel said. "What about you?"

"Never had need to," Bel said with a grin. "I come with my own long range weapon. He made fire appear in his hand, then closed his fingers around it so it vanished.

Isabel snorted, "Show-off. What happens if you face a water monster one day? That's not going to help. Of course neither would an arrow." She grinned, "I guess that's the point I'd have to get up close and personal and freeze him."

"They worked well enough against the snow monsters," Bel said. "But yeah, a water demon might be tough. We'd make a good team, though. You freeze, I burn."

"As long as you can keep me from getting killed in the process? I think we'd do okay," Isabel laughed. "I guess we'll have to see what happens if there's some kind of creature invasion this summer."

"If?" Bel said. "You mean 'when,' don't you? This is Fandom, after all. The marshmallows may rise up in revolt, or the cabins will all end up haunted by angry ghosts."

"You have a point," Isabel agreed. "Although personally I'm betting on sharks growing feet and chasing everyone up the beach and into town."

"Maybe we should start a betting pool," Bel suggested. "When and what freaky thing is going to happen during summer camp."

"That could be profitable," she replied. "And there's always the added benefit of terrorizing the new people. Although I think by this point most of them have heard all the stories and either believe us or think we're insane."

"I've run into a lot of them that think it's some hazing ritual by the existing students," Bel confirmed. "Won't they be surprised when the marshmallow sharks come?"

"You do realize that I now have this mental image of you flinging fireballs at Peep-like sharks and them turning gooey and nicely melted?" Isabel chuckled.

Bel started to protest that a proper demon would never appear so silly, but began laughing instead. "That'll be one way of dealing with them," he said. "Either that or we get a bunch of hungry people with chocolate and graham crackers."

"It would certainly be one of the more unusal battles here in Fandom," Isabel said, the chuckle becoming outright laughter. "Now you've made me hungry for S'mores. I might have to get some for the fire tonight."

"Phoebe and Lana are supposed to treat me to some sometime soon," Bel said. "I've never had them before."

"Be ready for a sugar high. Between the marshmallow and the chocolate you're going to be bouncing," Isabel warned. "If they don't do it soon, stop by Meerkat. I'm sure I'll have supplies by tomorrow. And you've gone without for too long."

"Bouncing like Blair bouncing?" Bel said, blinking. "That could be frightening."

"And possibly vibrating. A bad sugar rush is so much worse then a caffiene buzz," Isabel explained. "And the crash is that much worse."

"Now caffeine I know," Bel said. "Plenty of that in the Underworld. It's just sugar that's lacking."

"Ack! Coffee without sugar is gross. No wonder demons are cranky."

"Are you saying I'm cranky?" Bel said with mock hurt.

"You? Never!" Isabel laughed.

Bel pouted.

Isabel snickered.

"I'm not cranky," Bel continued to pout. Crankily.
