Archery Workshop #1, 5/23, Danger Shop, Afternoon

As the students entered the Danger Shop, set up like a standard classroom for today, they were greeted by a diminutive, black-and-white Japanese girl in a silk robe, perched on a corner of the teacher's desk munching on a chocolate chip cookie. Next to her were a stack of handouts, a sign-in sheet, and a tray of assorted cookies from Jeff, God of Biscuits.

Written on the board behind the desk was, Sign in. Take a handout and a cookie. Direct any questions to the instructor. Behave. Or else.

Miho studied her students with a critical eye, trying to determine which of them were most likely to shoot one of their classmates by accident or try to take more than one cookie.

Buffy leaned over and whispered, "When do we get to shoot stuff?"

Buffy slumped down in her seat and pouted. "But I wanted to shoot things now."

"Why does that not shock...I mean, I'm sure there's a perfectly good reason we have to wait," Dawn said, glancing at Miho.

Buffy folded her arms over her chest and kept pouting while Dawn talked to Dean.

"You could always ask the teacher--" Then Parker paused, as Molly did just that.

If she looked sad that there was no Molly-Miho showdown, it's probably your imagination.

"Or not."

"Aww maaan," Buffy whined. "I wore special sneakers for archery-ness too."

Parker checked out the sneakers. "Very ninja. Do you want to complain to the teacher about it? I'll stay right here."

Buffy glanced towards Miho and seemed to seriously contemplate it for a moment, before she shook her head. "Naaah. Teachers don't like me. I don't know why. I'm very likable. ...Right?"

"I find you amusing and entertaining. But I can't speak for Miho." Parker refrained from making any mute jokes. She likes breathing, thanks. "I suspect that's a good way to die."

"I can't die until we've taken horrible revenge on all the Stickbugs," Buffy said firmly. "They need to die horribly. And possibly without pants."

Parker snickered, then put the handout over her face to hide the smile. When she wasn't giggling, she pulled it away, and nodded. "I look forward to watching that. Safely on the other side of the camp. Possibly from on top of the roof, to get a good view."

"Do you think the archery rules apply to outside of class, too?" Dawn asked, trying to figure out how much trouble she'd get into for shooting arrows into Stickbugs. "We could call it practice..."

Buffy brightened. "If I had a better aim, we could shoot arrows through their clothing so they got stuck in, like, trees or cabin walls or something."

"You could be like William Tell, but without the apple!" Dawn thought for a minute. "Oooorr...we could get revenge on them."

"Ooh, you have a plan?" Buffy didn't really do plans. She could improvise and she could follow them, but mostly, she was good at just acting.

Molly moved over to join them. "If you have a revenge plan, I'd love to hear it too."

"It's not really a plan yet," Dawn admitted. "So much as an idea involving the guys having to spend the day in cheerleading skirts."

"We could steal their clothes!" Buffy grinned and lowered her voice. "And Dean's pants."

Molly started laughing quietly. Picturing the guys in cheerleader skirts was too much. "We must do this," she said.

"I wonder if our ninja professor would give us sneakiness lessons?" Dawn asked, glancing over at Miho. "It's for a good cause..."

"Oh, but we need a distraction!" Buffy pointed out. "One that doesn't involve wearing no shirts and singing weird songs in the middle of the night."

"Hmmmmm, we may need outside help. They'll never trust anything that comes from us," Molly said.

"Is there anyone else we could drag into this?" Dawn eyed her boyfriend and roommate. "Hmmm. I told Dean he couldn't help, but maybe he can after all..."

"I bet Willow and River would help if I explained it to them. And maybe Alec," Buffy nodded, then grinned again. "He'd maybe help with Dean's pants too." She was totally urging that on as a favour to Dawn and not at all for any selfish reasons what so ever. Nope.
