Welcome Party for the Summer Students and Staff

Despite the slightly overcast sky, the weather is still good for welcoming all of the new arrivals for the Fandom High summer session. The graduation decorations (and gremlin debris) have been cleared from the front lawn, and replaced with tables of information packets, food, and drinks. A series of signs point the students to the information table first, where they can pick up their room assignments from the office drones, and then continue on to the food tables to mingle.

And no, there are no inflatable gremlins around today. It's far too early to start scaring the new folks. That's what the mingling section is for!

"Yes, papers should definitely help," Dawn agreed, recognizing the look Buffy gave the suitcase. Oh, was she not helping her super-powered sister carry that up the stairs. "Where are you living? Have you met your roommate yet?"

Buffy frowned down at her papers. "I'm in.. 510 with someone called River Tam. Have you met her? I haven't." She hoped the room mate wasn't a raving lunatic, a vampire, or worst of all, a Cher lover.

Dawn shook her head. "No, I haven't met her yet. I'm in 329 if you ever need me for anything." She made a note of where her sister would be living--it would probably be the center of any attacks. Which reminded her that she needed to find out where the library was.

"Did they take your holy water?" she asked, then complained, "They took mine. And the stakes, and the axe."

"Holy water. Stakes. Axe. The essential vampire killing kit according to Buffy Summers." Dawn recited. "You know, for to make them go dusty. Still think you need a mask. Breathing all that vamp dust can't be good for you, and it's not like you get health insurance."

Buffy backed away. Quickly. While dragging her suitcase, as her brain was going BOOM at Dawn. Cannot deal, off to dorm room. "Uh. Sure. Yeah. Uh. I just have to... be somewhere. Else. Bye."
