Welcome Party for the Summer Students and Staff

Despite the slightly overcast sky, the weather is still good for welcoming all of the new arrivals for the Fandom High summer session. The graduation decorations (and gremlin debris) have been cleared from the front lawn, and replaced with tables of information packets, food, and drinks. A series of signs point the students to the information table first, where they can pick up their room assignments from the office drones, and then continue on to the food tables to mingle.

And no, there are no inflatable gremlins around today. It's far too early to start scaring the new folks. That's what the mingling section is for!

If Ranma is annoyed then Peter is oblivious to it. He runs over to him and extends his hand. "Hiya roommie! I'm Peter Griffin. But call me Peter. Or Lando." he says "Lando is an awesome name."

He takes his hand and shakes it. He is softened a bit by Peter's welcoming attitude and can't stay mad.

"Hi, I'm Ranma Saotome. So which is it? Lando or Peter?"

Peter furrowed his brow. It looked like he was making a huge decision. "Uh...Lando. No Peter! Yes, call me Peter."

"I've never had a roommate before. Are we supposed to have secret handshakes and knocks and stuff? Cause I'm not all that good at remembering things." he says "Except TV show theme songs. If our secret knock is the theme song to Charles In Charge then I've got it covered."

"Well I don't think so. Plus I don't know much about TV shows, I'm sorry. How about we just have you come in when you need to."

"Thanks. You're not a bad guy yourself." He feels relieved that his roomate is very nice. He prays quietly that his secret will keep from coming out and ruining things for him.
