Welcome Party for the Summer Students and Staff

Despite the slightly overcast sky, the weather is still good for welcoming all of the new arrivals for the Fandom High summer session. The graduation decorations (and gremlin debris) have been cleared from the front lawn, and replaced with tables of information packets, food, and drinks. A series of signs point the students to the information table first, where they can pick up their room assignments from the office drones, and then continue on to the food tables to mingle.

And no, there are no inflatable gremlins around today. It's far too early to start scaring the new folks. That's what the mingling section is for!

A girl in a pink skirt and white blouse with a bright pink scarf to match the skirt walks past with a little dog in a bg that has a scarf to match her own.

"Hi!" she says brightly.

"Hi, I'm Kaylee," she said, offering her hand. She waved to the dog with her other hand.

"Hi, Kaylee!" she chirped, "I'm Elle, and this?" she pushed the bag forward, "Is Bruiser. Isn't this a super mixer?" she asked with a bright smile as she shook Kaylee's hand.

"Hello Bruiser," Kaylee said cheerfully, petting the dog. "It sure is shiny."

"That's because we only use the finest doggie shampoos and glossers on my sweetieboy," she looked down at him, "Don't we, Bruiser? Keep you beautiful and shiny."

She returned her eyes to Kaylee's, "So are you camping or counseling this summer, Kaylee?"

"I'm a camp counselor, but I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to do yet, so I guess we're really in the same boat!" she said.
